Mock Suns Trades Gone Wild

1. General comment: think when we look at trades we tend to not consider the issues, mentality, strategies of other teams. We just value our player and assume that’s the price. This is how Jones ran the franchise. But in the dead ball era, we need to understand the importance of bad contracts. How teams are shifting to the second apron. Take Denver, they have a disaster cheap owner. And I saw on another pod that we would trade Grayson and others and picks for for Cam Johnson. I’m sorry that’s not how it’s going to work, nostalgia isn’t what we need. Maybe with Jones. But Gregory is going to make sure we leverage our assets correctly. I know that’s not fun, I know James Jones GM would just wing it. But I don’t see this franchise operating this way. I also am guessing the suns likely get out of the repeater tax by the trade deadline.

3. Hey John. Great show as always. I have a question that nobody seems to be bringing up… what are the chances that Ishbia just buys a pick? A team can spend up to 7 million on a pick, i believe, and it will not go against the cap. Maybe offer OKC the full 7 million for 17? Or someone with 25-31? I'm just curious, man. Stay blessed

6. I give this fanbase one more year to come to senses about Devin Booker, all these trades talk are a waste of energy. We have a Devin Booker problem that is not going to end well for this franchise. I pray that I am wrong.

8. I’m a heat fan idk how to feel. Bam underrated he never gets his flowers he’s the d book of our team .

9. There are reasons to keep o'neale and allen. There are also more reasons to move them.

   They are currently our two best trade chips, followed by williams .

   There are teams that would have a need for allen in the mid to late first round, detroit, orlando ,atlanta,boston and toronto.

   Problem is in order to aquire a pick from one of those teams we will need to add a first round pick or a number of second rounders.

   I'd be willing to take that gamble that we would be better than the pick's outcome.

   O'neale could get us a second round pick . Maybe allowing us to get baba miller and jaden bradley .

   Williams might be able to get us a pick from the bulls, heat,cavs,hawks,raptors but we would have to again add a pick and restructure his contract with injury protection.

   But a deal for a pick from one of those teams….could get us morez Johnson, cam carr, chris cenac, hannes Steinbeck, ebuka okorie or jayden quaintance.

   Again, what are we willing to gamble on?

   Also, trading both allen and o'neale would save us 62 million . Opening up other options starting with bringing back the guys we want.
