MISSED: Orlando Magic, Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner FAIL Key Predictions—Can They Compete NEXT Year?

The New York Knicks are NBA champions. They now sit on the perch the Orladno Magic hope to climb to. Getting there starts with reckoning with the team’s 2026 season and its failures.

The Magic failed to live up to expectations. And many of their individual goals are now tied to their ability to win. The Magic failed to take the step forward they needed to. Leaving many of their questions unanswered.

It should leave the team hungry this offseason. The Magic have had their success against the Knicks and may have many of the tools necessary to beat the new champions. It at least gives them a shot.

Orlando hopes the failures of this season will be lessons to make them better next season as the league turns its attention to the 2027 season.
