Two first round picks is steep. Especially this year’s pick, if it goes to the Clippers. If the Pacers finish in the bottom 3 it looks like it’s a coin flip 50/50 if they get a top 4 or picks 5-9.

Cost was way to high for a 90's era center.
The issue is people see NBA draft picks like NFL draft picks. The chance of getting an impact player outside of the top 4 is small and you’re going to go into the tax with anyone in the top 10. If crap hits the fan and you end up outside the top 10, your odds of hitting on a player equivalent of impact between picks 5-9 is nearly identical. This was a shrewd move from a talent/winning perspective and financial.
Should of kept that pick this draft is to important and deep to risk it good trade but wish they kept that pick

I agree with Kent, Zubacs skills are exactly what this team needed he just doesnt have the big name recognition average fans crave. Hali will make him even better plus he can guard a Jokic or give the skinny assed Thunder big problems. We can find players to come off the bench and help who do not cost 20+ million, Bennys D was highly questionable like Turner anyway.

I’ll put it like this love Myles but man was he soft for a big. We made the finals with him we can definitely make it back with zubac his presence and rebounding will do wonders making us even better. We still have flexibility of small ball with OBI and pascal when we need it

I can see zubac being a 20 and 10 guy for us and I definitely think takes huff from a low quality starter to a high quality backup
As long as zu can run pacers will be elite. Pacers bigs depth will be great. They can keep zu fresh. This is a great trade

The pick is definitely sketchy but like I heard on JMV they value 1-4 and 5-10 are more guards. Mathurin was never gonna get resigned and figured Zubac for whoever at 5-10 is worth it
Mathurin was to inconsistent for us. He could score 20 in a quarter then 8 the next entire game
