  1. The question is not Could They,,,,,,,the question is Should They? The answer is definitely NO, NO and NO. The Lakers are a team in need of several good two-way players.

  3. The Lakers are going to kick the can down the road again. Not because they want to but just because they will not have any choice. Unless they want to overpay for a bunch of average players and in doing so probably lose players they already have that are better

  4. Jovan's idea to get the cost of each possible center and then decide doesn't work at all. By the time you contact each other team and figure out a price, half of the guys on the list are already gone.

  5. Jovan will never get off this Reaves is 40+ million. That contract will hurt the Lakers in the future. We have 3 years of a sample size of the player Reaves is in the playoffs. People keeping saying if it doesn’t work, we will just trade Reaves at the trade deadline or next year. Do we not have enough history from other players in the past that’s not always the case if the player isn’t living up to the contract with value. Perfect example Zach LaVine. Do we think Chicago had the same mindset & how did that work for them. They couldn’t offload him at all or if they did they would have to add draft capital. I can name many other players but he’s a perfect example.

  6. What can the Lakers do is to be part of a 3 or 4 team trade for Giannis and Brown. And the Lakers should focus on getting Brown and send AR somewhere like the Pistons.

Imagine a lineup of Lebron, Brown, Smart and Lula and get FA Robert Williams. 3 former Celtics playing w/ the Lakers and rub it to the Celtics faces.

  7. I believe the main priority besides Luka is bron, if you tell bron to take a cut for 15-25m he’s going to say for who, he wants to win now and if bron is willing to take massive cut he would do it for Giannis or star player, bron made the team be successful this Season without Luka so losing bron would be disastrous because ar and Luka are never healthy so doing a trade with the bucks or 3 team trade for Gianni’s makes sense and even if it doesn’t workout and still having production he is tradeable it’s just fit now 2nd best option is keeping same team and hoping bron comes back for discount to get quality role players and still with that I would still trade Ar for better fitted role players and assets

  8. Danny Ainge is literally masterclassing Kessler’s restricted free agency right now 💀 , letting him hit RFA after that shoulder surgery, and with our frontcourt so crowded is classic Trader Danny holding all the cards. CAA wants the bag, but the Jazz hold his matching rights, so it’s likely going down in one of three ways:

    1. The RFA Discount: The league is scared of Ainge matching, so no big offers come in. Kessler is forced to sign a cheaper, team-friendly long-term deal with Utah just to secure the bag.

    2. The Hate Match: Some team tries a poison-pill offer sheet to steal him. Ainge says "bet" and matches it anyway, keeping him as an asset to trade later once his value goes up.

    3. The Asset Ransom: Kessler demands out, so Zanik sets up a sign-and-trade, but Ainge refuses to do him favors and forces the other team to cough up multiple 1st-round picks.

Either way, Ainge wins the asset war again. Trust the process! 🥶🏔Should we draft a response to a hater in the replies who thinks the Jazz are mismanaging Kessler, or break down the potential draft picks we could get if option 3 happens?

  9. What about if Giannis goes to Boston and Brown is sent to Milwaukee, we all know he doesn’t want to be there… the Lakers should try and send a package of Reaves to Milwaukee for Brown. That helps solve some of our defensive issues at the guard position… paired with Luka.

  10. Wouldn’t it be better to have multiple firsts from multiple teams as opposed to multiple firsts from 1?

If I’m MIL, I’d prefer the Celtics for that very reason. Maybe get their own picks back for brown to POR.

  11. What do you guys think is the sweet spot for Austin where his contract remains positive value? I’m worried it’s $25M and we’re going to pay him $40M. What number is it for you guys?

  12. go sign Keon Ellis 7mil , Robert Williams 10mil, Kelly Oubre 12mil, Marvin Bagley vet min then call Brooklyn and offer Vando, Bronny, DK, Jake, DA(if he opts in) & the 2031 1st round pick for D.Sharpe, T.Mann, Z.Williams & 2026 33rd pick.. draft 2 NBA ready-ish players with 25 & 33 (Dailyn Swain) (Tarris Reed) then go after one or 2 of the big RFA's.. then see about extending Marcus and then extend AR to 3yrs 100mil

  13. Boy if the lakers don't package up Reaves, Smart , Laravis, Ayton and a pick for Giannis ima lose it 🫨🥵🥵🥵 giannis and Luka will defitnetlly be a western conf finals appearance

  14. I agree in Braun. I plugged him into BBall index lineup tool and he netted out better then Herb or any other wing we have been discussing. Especially if can dump Vando/DK.or get some draft capital.

  15. I wouldn’t even agree to a trade with Herro in it. Wiggins, Jovic, Jaquez, Ware and 3 FRPs is the best package. You can flip Wiggins expiring contract much easier. Like take on Grant and Jrue for Wiggins Kuzma and get your swap rights back for 28 and 30 from Portland.

  16. Lakers shouldn’t draft anyone. Luka is 27 and AR’s 28. Trade all draft assets to win now. Copy the Knicks model, not the Thunder way.

  17. The way these guys try and pretend Austin isn’t in the same tier as guys like Ayo and Herro is funny to me.

The last two years Austin has averaged more touches per game than guys like Mitchell,SGA,Booker and Edwards. His stats are heavily influenced by the fact he has so many more chances then these other players and you could argue that he shouldn’t even be getting this many touches because his playmaking and defense have fallen off since his touches skyrocketed.
