The OKC Thunder Will STEAL Them In The 2026 NBA Draft

The NBA Draft is approaching and the OKC Thunder remains one of the most intriguing teams because of all the selections that they have. Sam Presti is one of the best in terms of roster building around the NBA and he could once again draft a future superstar for the Thunder. Aj Dybantsa, Cam Boozer, and Darryn Peterson are the prized selections of the NBA Draft but OKC is unlikely to be able to trade up and make a deal with teams like the Wizards, Jazz, and Grizzlies. But one thing they can do is try to package the 12th and 17th selections in the draft to maybe make a trade with teams in the lower half of the top-10 like the Kings, Mavs, Hawks, Bucks, or even the Warriors. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren form an OKC big three who have won the NBA championship. The Thunder also have a deep roster but they can add some more talent who could help them get over the top.

Most NBA mock drafts have prospects like Yaxel Lendeborg, Morez Johnson, or Aday Mara landing with the Thunder. But maybe, Presti can work his way up to select someone like Brayden Burries or Keaton Wagler. Though I think there are some other prospects who could make their way in Oklahoma City such as Hannes Steinbach or Cameron Carr. We never know what the Thunder will do, even for a team who drafted three straight future MVPs in Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden. But in this video, I’ll talk about who I think would be the best additions for the Thunder from the 2026 NBA Draft.
