    Folks , I guarantee 66-75% of Hornets fans are not sad to see LaMelo go .

    DID I SAY that he is an incredible talent ??

    THAT SAID let me tell you what so many Hornets fans have figured out the past five years :
    1. Melo is VERY injury-prone .
    2. Do you know how many “ incredible amazing talents “ have been in the NBA but somehow someway never really win much of anything ?
    “ Great talents “ are a dime a dozen in the NBA . WINNING is all that really counts .
    3. You people think that the Hornets got better last year because Melo was not injured and he got some more help . WE SEE that what REALLY happened is that we got better owners and a better front office and coaches . Melo just happened to be a recipient of that better environment.

    Most Hornets fans are looking at this trade and thinking “ dayum ! We got a haul !!”

    I guarantee it .

    Honestly , I think this will be a trade that will help both teams IF MELO STAYS HEALTHY —and that’s a big “ if”. Melo needs a s-load of maturity and I’m not sure he would’ve ever gotten it with the Hornets and it was dragging us down . Maybe Ant can make him finally mature from a boy to a man .

    I would not bet on it though .

  4. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander seemed to do okay once he got out of the dumpster fire Clippers. Chris Paul did okay once he left a dumpster fire in New Orleans. Lots of examples of players blossoming after leaving a dumpster fire.
