Gotta give up assets to get good players and Grayson Allen & Royce O’Neal aren’t real assets. Those were salary dumps for Phx. Phx wasn’t just looking for a good starter in this trade, they were looking for salary relief.
This reminds of the Ayton draft decision. An owner decision that hurts the team just to prove the point that he is the decision maker. Successful teams have ownership that doesn’t get too involved.
