17. The deal is a good deal, considering today’s market, but obviously the major factor is his health. That being said, the LeBron+AD scenario is still on the table. Warriors would have to ship out Jimmy and Moody for AD, and Draymond would have to take about $18 million to open the non taxpayer Mid level exception for LeBron which is about $15 million, so the team stays under the 1st apron hard cap.

    Then again, the “more likely” scenario is that this whole LeBron+AD to the warriors scenario can just be a big leverage move from Rich Paul to get as much money as he can for both LeBron and AD.

21. Kristaps does not need to play some random arbitrary number of games you decide for him to be worth it. Kristaps was great in the games he played and if he averages 20+ and gives them enough depth at the center spot they don't have to run dray and al into the ground he's more than worth 20 mil. He also doesn't have to play the entire post season to be worth it, he won a game 6 for Boston in his time there and if he can do something similar for the dubs for 20 million that's also worth it. He took a 10 mil pay cut and if you think there wasn't a team out there desperate for a center that wouldn't pay him 25 million I don't think you're aware of how thin the center market is rn.

37. I‘m sorry but what did you expect? Even though he is injury prone, you were never gonna get a guy that can (when healthy) put up 20/7 as a 7‘3 stretch big for less than 15 million. It was crystal clear that it would require something in the range of 15-20 million. Nowadays guys like Moses Moody get paid 12/13 million and with all respect to him, he is not 50% of the Player that KP is. And yes, there is Nobody in the league that would offer him a lot more than that, but there are teams out there that desperately need centers and shooting (for example the Spurs or Lakers or Magic). So I don‘t think this is a crazy overpay
