Dusty May Introductory Press Conference

It was interesting that Masai changed his messaging from we will make roster decisions that are "future based" to making player acquisition with "winning" in mind. It will be interesting to see what happens in free agency. He also curtailed all questions on free agency during the presser. Could something be in the works??

Dusty May implied twice that he left college because the recruitment process was getting tiresome, which is kind of funny.
Extremely focused & intense, yet, still earnest & human.
However, Dallas is 2-3 years away from possible contender status.
My question is why did he choose Morez over Yaxel and Aday? Does Morez has more upside playing with cooper due to timeline or is he a defensive minded gonna guy.Im excited what coach May has to bring to the table.Go Mavs.# MFFL.

I don't know if really believe that he didn't have some kind of input on one of the Michigan players going to Dallas. I do understand, however, he probably doesn't want to be involved in the drafting process directly. He probably wants to leave that part of the job behind and just be a coach.

I hope he can be successful. As a Michigan fan, I'm not past the shock and bitterness many of us feel about his departure. He said he had shaken hands with our Athletic Director on his new contract. His word turns out to be no better than Juke Harris' word. Juke Harris twice told Dusty he was coming to Michigan, then went to Tennessee. Word was that this type of thing was the part of what Dusty wanted to leave behind in going to the NBA. But he has done the same thing to Michigan. We feel betrayed.
They got a good one and he’s going to do the job.
As a Michigan fan. I loved listening to Dusty talk about basketball. He would discuss concepts I had never thought about. It’s no accident he won it all so quickly. Mavs will compete immediately
