  1. Not thinking that Royce O'Neale is significantly better than Josh Green is insanity lol. Royce played the 4 all year this season in Phoenix (he's got 25 pounds on Green) with Jalen Green, Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks and Mark Williams, but even besides that he actually was in an NBA rotation (actually he was starting, but Green couldn't even crack rotation)

Mamu is projected to get the full 15M MLE so I'm doubtful on how realistic he is. Both he and Collins would take some terrific recruiting by Connelly. Love the Kenrich take. He'd be terrific as a tone setter, connector and hustle guy — 20 minutes cap cause you rely on hustle and energy.

BTW, Green can be aggregated before the trade becomes official on July 6 (Josh Green is not technically a Wolf yet) so TSJ+Green for Santi works and so does Isaiah Stewart, who is my favorite target. One of the best defensive bigs in the NBA. Played college with Jaden. 40% corner 3-point shooter. No one is scoring on Jaden-Stew-Rudy frontcourt. Got traded in draft for 3 2nds so I think TSJ+Green gets it done.

  2. Honestly, I just don’t think John Collin’s is the best fit. He’s really small for the PF position & is significant worst as an offensive player then McDaniels. I view him as a poor man’s McDaniels tbh. I think we really need a big body who can like to shoot & stretch the floor rather than roll since he’ll be sharing the floor with either Rudy or the French rookie kid. I think a player like Collins at the 4 is getting bullied either through force or size like Zion(force) & Wemby(Size). So just a big body who is switchable in the post & can shoot the 3 ball.

  3. I really hope Shannon and beringer take big steps this year.. I think they will be vital as key rotation pieces off the bench especially if we have any injury issues through the season

  4. It's simple, we need size and rebounding inside. Marvin Bagley would be perfect. John Collins would be too. Both guys can stretch out and hit the 3. We have enough shooting as it is. Robert Williams, Mamu? Who can we afford?

  5. I want to make one very important point about Melo and his play. Just keep in mind he did all he did while constantly facing double teams and other teams best defenders while having one of the worst whistles in the league. I hope your org and coach fight for him to get a fair whistle because the hornets sure didn’t. They kept saying play through it and get stronger which he appears to be doing this summer.

  6. Great options to cover even if some are less likely than others.

I think even Tim's biggest defenders/supporters have to acknowledge that he has a pattern of overpaying on players, whether via trade or signings, that takes a toll on the team's payroll and assets over time. We literally have no picks to trade except a top 50 protected 2nd rounder right now. If we held onto a 2nd round pick or 2 that was sent to Charlotte that could be used as a sweetener to say, get off of Green's contract, or as part of a trade for a PF. Conversely, if we didn't overpay Mike, Randle, Reid, Ayo, etc. We wouldn't have had to swap down with Detroit and Brooklyn to dump salary or be over the cap so much that we are struggling to fill out the roster with a PF right now. Hopefully he works his magic somehow to get a solid starting 4, otherwise this season may get waylaid by the lack of size in the front court.
