Every serious GM making big moves to improve except for the Rockets. Keeping Fred, keeping DFS, keeping Capela – this would be typical of Stone. Just like bringing back Tate, Jeff and Aaron last season. Marcus Smart should not be Rockets priority offseason signing.
Rockets do not have a lot of cap room because Stone is not good at his job, especially inept at roster construction. Saving money should not be his first priority. Rockets had the worst bench in the NBA last season. Especially for a top 5 team in the West.
I don't think Fvv was ever injured. I think he just wanted to sit out because of his renegotiation of his contract and he felt that he was worth more the original salary was promised to him at first so he set out a year. That's my opinion
Smart played well with the Lakers but not so well the years before. Getting him might be like getting another DSF. A guy that plays good every other year or so. It's beginning to look like Udoka and Stone are not a good match. They seemed locked in on only a handful of players. Defensive players too. Only KD is a shooter and so many people want him gone. The Rockets are going to be boring as hell to watch again. I've been a Rocket fan since San Diego drafted Elvin Hayes. I am not paying for FUBO to watch what these 2 idiots think is a good basketball team. The Rockets need to hire Eli Witus and Jason Kidd and blow this shit up.
I'd rather give Norman Powell a try than Marcus Smart.

If they were gonna move on from Fred I don't get why they wouldnt have done it in the middle of last season. Couldve gotten Ayo, White or even CJ and seen what it looked like for half a season before having to make a contract decision. I dont get the Marcus Smart interest. They need someone to make the offense less clunky.
