BREAKING: Phoenix Suns Get Steal Of Free Agency In Luke Kennard In Attempt To Balance Out Roster

Phoenix Suns secure sharpshooter Luke Kennard on a two-year, $13 million deal, aiming to fix their three-point shooting woes and boost their playoff hopes. Can Kennard fill the void left by Grayson Allen, or is he set for a different role in Phoenix’s rotation?

Benjamin Garcia breaks down the Suns’ dramatic offseason moves, including the acquisition of Miles Bridges and key losses like Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale. The discussion explores Kennard’s elite shooting stats, the roster’s ongoing size concerns, and whether Phoenix’s new-look squad truly positions them as Western Conference contenders. With lingering questions about Jalen Green’s fit and the need for further trades, the Suns’ future hangs in the balance. Will these additions elevate the Suns out of the play-in, or are bigger changes still on the horizon?

  1. Impossible to please this guy,, I’ve been watching this channel for 2 years and never commented until this video. You said we were going to be terrible last year and gave us zero chance to make it past 10th seed. How tall is OG? How tall is Mikal? You are acting like both of those dudes are 6”10. That Knicks team that was wayyyyyy smaller then the spurs Beat them in 5. You don’t make any sense at all.

  2. 6:30 completely agree, that trade does not feel like BGs idea. when I first saw it, I felt like it was so off brand from what we have seen him do thus far as the gm.

  3. I’m honestly feeling better about the miles bridges trade since the space we created was used for Luke, so he can be seen apart of the trade which makes it go from a D to maybe a C for me.

  4. Ben, they're ripping you up in these comments. I don't think it's deserved. I appreciated your take on the trades. The only thing with Green is, so many of you have said you're not really going to get anyone of real value in exchange for Green. So I think we should just keep him and see how he does in a healthy year with healthy teammates playing together. No torn hamstrings and broken hands. He does have the gift of speed and he is adept at getting to the basket. I think his athleticism is an asset to the team. I do agree with others that the Suns won't be 7th or 8th seed next season, even with their tough competition. I think they will play hard as hell and will be 4th or 5th and do well in the playoffs. I truly see Brooks as the leader that sets the stage and the energy. When he isn't playing, the team looks like melted ice cream on the court.

  5. I think Luke will be asked to shoot more 3's – Thought Lakers would resign him seeing Lebron left leaving them cap space – Nice that someone is mentioning Brea as another possible shooter ! I think the Bridges trade was mainly to dump Grayson and Royce salary – maybe this was the best deal they had and decided to take it ? It does give them cap relief. I see Bridges as another asset who can be traded after they see what he can do or if he does not fit ? Hopefully they hold off on the extension.

  6. Dude is not a winning basketball player he a shooter no D no passing just shoot Allen is a better player tell the truth Ben but crush a 20 scorer we pick up 4 personal reason

  7. Hmmmm. Looks like the team knows what they are doing. Upgraded the PF position while bringing back less money in a trade, which they used to sign a more accurate outside shooter.

  8. Come on bro. You wanted Sexton. I have been saying Luke Kennard for over a week now. You also wanted Dean Wade which I did too but you also wanted Baba Miller I can name 14 guys and eventually I'll be correct also LOL look no disrespect you and I are both suns fans but you are so quick to give yourself credit when you steal most of your material from other podcast. Lets be honest, lol. Go Suns!!

  9. Seeing we were hoping to get a late first rounder for Allen (done). 2 second round picks for O’Neal (got more with bridges) and ended up with kennard. Outside of losing that future pick we ended up in a better place. Bridges and the pick are insured by our rookie and if flemming develops. If he doesn’t work out we trade for the 2nd round picks we were originally expecting at deadline or we just let go for cap reasons. Don’t see how this team is in any worse shape asset wise as it was before. We don’t need to be a 4-6 seed if we have a fun team to watch while continuing to rebuild after the disappointing KD and Beal asset depletion moves we will be in a good spot.

  10. Definitely think on paper this team is better. Despite Bridges not being the ideal fit he still is a massive upgrade at that position. Kennard Definitely helps with 3 point shooting and I expect a career year with increased volume of shooting.

  11. I would ask you Ben to watch Kennard highlights ( over stats)….he does just fine driving and passing with the Lakers. This year Jalen Green should be option 1a, Booker 1b, Miles 2, Kennard 3, Dillon 4 , Gillespie 5.
This Suns team has 6 guys that can drive, draw the gravity of the defense, pass or score. I would expect
    Ast%: Booker 31%, Gillespie 30%, JG4 23%, Miles 21%. Now they have 4 players above 20% (Ast%) like Knicks, Spurs, Thunder. [ 56 wins (+/-2 wins) ]

  12. I think the suns are done. They have the pieces on their roster that fit what they want to do. Only player outside of Green I could see being moved is Highsmith (released) or Dunn (lack of playing time). Only thing I would be willing to listen to is if Portland looks to move a guard with getting Ja. I would listen if Jrue becomes available.

Suns are better today than then of the season. 3 reasons. 1. They kept their young players, and they will develop. 2. They have moveable assets if they want to make moves around the margins. This flexibility is refreshing. 3. They developed a culture last year, now they are adding pieces entrusting that culture to impact the production.

  13. So Miles Bridges and Luke Kennard for Grayson and Royce? I'll take that any day.
Oh and Kennard signed for $6.5m /yr? Oh HELL yeah!
This balances out the offense now. They needed paint scoring and they got it.
