  2. Wonderful hire. Think about it: if the Spurs had won against the Knicks 4-3 with a margin of 3 or 4 pts, the Spurs might not have hired Donovan. And Mitch might have been stuck in his very limited, conservative offensive tactics that we all saw were so detrimental to the team in game 4 of the finals. And without this key improvement in offense, the Spurs cannot maximize their potential, just impossible.
    So it means that the front office and Mitch are very aware and honest about Mitch's current limitations in terms of offense and both want it to change. Great news.

  3. Love what coach Sweeney did to the defense and this is the absolute perfect transition hire for the offense! Those of us Spurs fans like me who love all the little details in basketball especially coaching like me are insanely excited that Donovan was willing to be an assistant coach for our team.

Hopefully Billy can coach this offense because our offense was shit the whole year…dont mind the regular season rankings due to us overwhelming mediocre to bad teams…I knew once we reached the playoffs our offense would be exposed, and ot was…every round our offense was bad…it was embarrassingly bad in the finals

    1. Castle isnt a PG…stop forcing him to play out of position…we have 2 actual PGs…

    2. Wemby the only superstar ever that doesn't have the offense built for him, thats puts him in spots where he does the best (around the basket…there's offenses that can have him catch the ball consistently close to the paint…most of it is him being in motion, while some are low post ups…we had none of that in the finals)

    3. Teach pick and roll fundamentals…Wemby too often comes off the pick not looking for the ball, but looking to reach a spot…our PGs also miss a TON of lob opportunities
