27. At this point, we got to commit to the rebuilding or maximizing Steph. Trading for AD would have been good to offload Jimmy’s contract but there’s no interest from the Wizards and again AD’s availability. Bron is 42 and would help but doesn’t make them contenders. Either get more size like Vucevic or a solid scorer and ball handler who can take the pressure of Steph. If not start rebuilding and trade Steph to a contender if he wants to win.

    Joe Cronin saw an opportunity to pick up a player who was ELITE – Top 10 in the NBA and grabbed it!
    And, normally a guy that highly thought of talent wise is home be in his 30's, but Ja is just 26!
    The Blazers repeatedly wanted to move the ridiculously huge contact of Jeremy Grant and jumped on one of the few teams that would take that contact on because Memphis too wanted to get out of that gigantic Ja Morant contact… Even bigger than Grant's!
    Sure, it's a big bet! But, with Dame Lillard as the veteran leader of the Portland Trailblazers, this is a GREAT BET!
    Because as a person that has followed the Blazers since the '70's, and seen every game and every thing said about Dame since he was drafted, Ja ain't gonna be getting away with ANY OF THE CRAP he pulled in Memphis!
    Dame is all about RESPECT! He will not tolerate anything but Respect and a good behaving teammate!
    PERIOD.
    This is Dame's Team! He's one of the top leaders, if not the top leader, in the entire NBA!

32. Figure Portland bundles Ja and Jru Holiday into trade assets. They gave up a player in Grant (and his contract in the new Cap era) and a 'solid' potential prospect in order to get a piece to build a bundle to either free up a ton of cap space or a ton of picks. Has to be something along those lines.

    It’s because of our CHEAP AZZ new owner he got off that Grant contract and don’t have to pay any penalties for being over the cap plain and simple. This new owner is already making it tough AND PAINFUL to be a Blazers fan. We were absolutely SPOILED when Paul Allen was the owner he was THE BEST!

36. I think Ja has been slept on way too long. Ja will be averaging 22 ppg with 8 assists and 6 boards. Hopefully they can trade off Scoot and Sharpe for a solid PF and C to round out their team. Keep Jrue for that veteran addition and defense.
