Yeah, that white guy center was disappointing. He had so many opportunities and fumbled the ball so many times.
My favorite part of watching the first game of summer league was that we had clearly the best three players on the court dp ace and Williams
I've got all the same hype, and I was at the game. But it's still summer league. I'm trying to keep grounded,
I wasn’t able to catch the whole game but what I saw, DP basically had the ball in his hands most of the time. I’m excited to watch him off ball. I think that’s where his offense will open up the most as well as open up opportunities for the other guys on the floor
DA formally from LA defensive rating was 115 and he was not a plus player. Jaxson Hayes had a 108 defensive rating and Robinson formally from NY had a 106. Not sure what Kessler had in 24-25 (since we can’t compare his just 5 game sample last season) but you can’t say Hayes is bad at Defense when he was ranked 20th to Kessler at 13th amongst centers.
Kessler had a higher FG% than Hayes? Nope. Jaxson had a low usage and that was because of the scheme JJ was running. Some oh you wanted DA over Jaxson and that dude requires the ball constantly, wrecking the flow of the star players so that is why the Lakers. Had Hayes close many games. Ainge brought Hayes to the Jazz because Hayes is unselfish and will make guys like DP a stat god like Kobe. It’s not just Luka making centers look good, it’s the center making Luka look genus (with near triple doubles each game) because Jaxson was an auto bucket. Can’t say that about Kessler. Also, Jaxson is a great pick and roll rim runner and lob threat where Kessler is only a lob threat and needs to work very hard to be what Luka needs.

Man Darryn looked so smooth out there. The game looks easy to him. I get it's just summer league but this was also his first somewhat NBA game. It's definitely exciting!

Walker Kessler was thinking about himself, rather than the team concept. Doesn't he realize that with a deep run into the Play-Offs, he'd be getting paid more than what he'd be making in LA for a Non-Playoff run.
