Let’s gooo! So hyped to see this episode! Do you have a posting schedule by the way? I’m a new fan of the podcast around here.
Atlanta just got bit by the Mountain Mamba!!!!
Have you ever thought of using a green screen for your background so you can drop in cool images and backgrounds?
Thank you David for doing the good work that most podcasters are too lazy to do! You earned my sub and respect for your advanced stat shares on Josh Okogie and Jaxson Hayes which was very important for Jazz Fans to hear.
Truly Appreciated
He has a low release, and shots going up not at the top of his jump. Quick hand defenders will give him trouble. Seems smart, so probably will adjust this overtime
I told people what he was nobody believed me
A lot of his turnovers were because teammates couldn't catch the ball especially the big man when he would set him up nicely about 3 of those should have been assists instead of TOs if you watched the game you know what I'm talking about
Guys… what a great time to be a Jazz fan!
That AI thumbnail is goofy
Here is hoping that Cody continues to look too good for summer league for the rest of summer league!
hopefully hayes doesnt spit on anymore women here in utah. Since I guess those are the types of guys we want here
DP would have had at least 3 more assists but the Center for the Jazz couldn't catch a pass to save his life. Dropped many right in the lane that should have been easy finishes.
Whoever is in charge of these things should put David’s pic back in the title screens on YouTube. I’m not even a jazz fan but I listen because of David. Would you do a Bill Simmons podcast without putting his face on the podcast?
You think we didn't hear you fart right before the 18:00 mark ? 😅 Hahaha we still love you! The boogeyman has arrived. His game is so smooth . Can't wait for his 1st signature adidas along with statue and title 🎉
I am so in awe at how good he is with both his right and left hands, switches are seamless. Huge advantage.
AJ’s overrated-ness is about to exposed so badly. Utah people don’t want to hear it yet but they’re about to be SOOOO unbelievably happy they had the #2 pick. I’m saying this as a Wizards fan btw.
That's what stood out to me is 2 3s were off curl actions off bounce & 2 were step backs – made 4/7 – what happens when teams are focused a lot on key and Lauri?? – he will get a lot better looks – I am mega impressed
In his press conference he already said he had too many turnovers and will work on it. A lot of it was due to his team mates not ready for the ball. Especially the big guy on the team.
Want to see pick and roll feel improve. It wasn’t there. Love that he can make tough shots but he struggles with creating separation for those shots, he settles for tough shots. Would like for him to put in the work to make the looks cleaner. Until those things change he is not a point guard.
Not interested in the zero accountability approach that worked so well with Donovan Mitchell. Jazz fans you don’t need to protect the kid from criticism. Summer league game 1 there is always room for improvement.
You mean LaMelo Ball?
Looking at Josh Okogie's career, he has made significant progress in his outside shooting. The first 4 years in the NBA he shot below 30%. Then the next 3 seasons he shot 33.5%, 30.9%, and 34.8%. This past season he shot 38.5%. So, there is clearly a career progression and shows again that 3-point shooting can improve in an NBA players career. It looks like this guy could realistically shoot 35ish percent for us this year, which would be great for what he is.
Great vid David, solid info! DP is the real deal, and is gonna be a huge contributor to the success of the Jazz. Can’t wait for regular season to start, and to see this dude grow as a baller. Let’s go Jazz!!
Ba-da-bum-bum-bum-bum-boom..
He rocks, too!
Congrats
Did they want to keep Walker Kessler if they could? Yeah. Were they willing to give him up in a fleece deal? Yeah. Did they fleece the Lakers? Yeah. Do they have centers that Will can use interchangeably to run the schemes he wants to run. Yep!
Let’s go, Jazz! Bring ‘em on out!
Fleming looked good while it was clear Darryn is already bigger, better with elite footwork regardless of who he’s playing with. We’re very fortunate to add a player like this.
Prediction: DP, Ace, and Lauri will each shoot 38% or better from 3 this season. Two of them will end up at 40%+. Key and JJJ will both be 36% or better. Nurk will shoot great from 3 this year too. We will have the spacing and shot threat and this will result in all of these guys shooting great from outside.
David, thanks for your enthusiasm for Darryn. I’m sure Ron is right behind on this.
I think his shot looked like a push shot. Bad mechanics and it will be easily blocked.
I went to the game, he looked as good as Edgecombe did last year. He should only play 1 more game in vegas, he's already too good for summer league
I'm telling you everybody's going to be pulling their hair out, wondering how far this team could have gone if Kessler were still here. This team has so much talent, more than most can imagine.
Btw I'm impressed with the progress Cody appears to have made, especially off the dribble. Huge development to me, since on-ball defenders are at a premium, he may be demanding more playing time this year.
I think you mean Lemelo Ball
I think the Jazz know Peterson is not an NBA PG (or primary ball handler)…he is a shooting guard. That is why they let Kessler walk so that would free up the money to give to KG (assuming he has a great year) as their future PG.
