Scoot had the hottest steak in the playoffs.
One can argue, scoot was the only player that has gotten better and better, maybe Deni but I was not impressed in the playoffs.
Scoot is our star, please give the dude a shot to shine sheesh
I believe in Dame and his work ethic
Dame has been doubted time after time after time and this man keeps rising to the occasion.
Dame and deni are our stars. Scoot had one good game in the playoffs. I'm rooting for him but still needs to prove he is all that
1) Dame is taking more rest than KD and KD looks like he back to normal plus hes older and taller. Dame will be back to himself. Probably will not be dunking or aggressively driving early this season but it will take time. We needed shooting this season and Dame is arguable one of the best shooters of all time and we have seen that in display in his training and 3 pt contest. He will have a slightly different role, i am guessing he will have alot more uncontested shots in the corner and have JA be the aggressor, attacking the rim, pick and rolling with clingan/time lord, lobbing and also kicking it out to Dame.
2) I've said it before, Shae is a bucket when he leads the team however, his scoring does not lead to winning basketball. He is a glorified Cam Thomas. Its ashamed with his athleticism, he is not a better defender…
3) Scoot can peak like WB or if he doesn't excede expectation or improve, i see him as an Eric Bledsoe/DSJ type player.
4) Teams were hesitant to trade away valuable draft picks because Jaylen Brown is getting payed 70 mill a yr and is due for a contract extension this season. Teams do not view him as a generational player and feel as though that 70 mill can go a long way and build with other multiple stars. The Celtics realized this after the second apron was implemented that half their salary cap is eaten up by 2 players. The blazers are better off looking to sign a vet minimum or a 3 and D diamond in the ruff who has something to prove.
5) Clingan has improved alot this year. However I have noticed he only dominates against smaller center. Whenever he is matching up with a bigger center is when he struggles. Good year but still alot of improvement as we could tell in that Spurs series…Wemby made him look like he was 6ft…
6) I do agree Jrue is old but he is very valuable piece on a championship team. I would try and get another wing in Trey Murphy. We will have to trade scoot or shae. Shae is a bit taller and athletics with a better bag offensively but his game seems a bit lackadaisical…Scoot is smaller and not as a good shooter BUT he is better defensively and has a better work ethic. Those 2 are polar opposites with their pros having alot of upside. Going to be a tough decision for the front office. Scoot did have a better series against the Spurs.
