Breaking Down the Lakers’ Jonathan Kuminga Rumors

1. Ayton worked out last year for the price which was no players, picks, etc. and a minimum(?). GS and ATL had and didn't really want Kuminga which should be a red flag.

2. People need to understand Kuminga would bring an electric athleticism we don't have. I believe highly in Carr and Abdou (to a degree) but Kuminga can bring it on both ends of the court.
   No I don't want to give up the farm for him. But if the price is right, he would be a highlight reel with Doncic.

   extremely obvious that kuminga boosters are casuals who don't watch games.

17. The team is very poorly constructed. Everything after the Kessler signing has been a down grade and a tragedy. The top teams in the west have guys 6’5/6’6 and taller at every possession and we signed more than half our roster with players around 6’3 who can’t play defense

20. Agree with Jovan, there was talk the Lakers would need to use one of their first round picks to get rid of Vando's contract. Trade swaps are grossly overvalued in the nba for some reason. I don't like Kuminga but would make that deal in a heartbeat.

22. So you want Kuminga essentially to be a wing defensive stopper and screen setter and dirty work guy. And you also say Vando isn't a good fit for "JJ Reddicks system." Well wtf then JJ needs to adjust his system for the personnel and have Vando play that role. And for $14 mil and team option for 2nd year for Rui it is so frustrating that Lakers let him go. Rui should be our starting 4 with Mamu backing up and Vando should be 3 or platoon him with someone else. And Lakers are about to pay more than what Rui got for a guy (Kuminga) who cant shoot. Damn this is annoying.
    And yeah Trevor anyone can have a nice highlight reel alone on a fastbreak. But stands around and isn't invested unless he thinks he's gonna get the ball. Right, we're gonna talk him into buying in and playing a role which will plummet his so-called value. Smh at this idiocy
