  1. The upside is there for a ton of these rookie. It was an impressive showing. They looked scattered in the 1st half, but looked like a complete different unit in the 2nd half.

And I told people Morez was the right pick. Obviously, 1 summer league game doesn't vindicate it yet, but it shows you the potential, and this kid has it in spades. He can be a 18-19ppg, 8boards, few assists, 3-4 stocks, all defensive guy.
He does all the little things well, just like Coop. They will fit well together. I really hope lively gets and stay healthy. He is only 22. Coop, Morez, and Lively is a hard 3 to score on

Morez at 1:051:09 was impressive and you see why he was taken 1st of the 3 Michigan guys.

  2. I hope Kyrie and Lively stay healthy this year. Imagine the defense with Flagg, Johnson, Lively, and Gafford. Its going to take a bit of luck to consistently get in the paint, much less score. I really wanted Peterson because Kyrie is going to start declining as early as this year really. I hope not but coming off that leg injury and hes getting on the wrong side of 30 is not a good sign. But I digress, if Johnson can play like this every game the Mavs might be back in the playoffs this year. I know he won't score 28 for his rookie season but id be cool with 16pts and 10rbs.

  3. His stats say he hit a three but I haven’t seen it in any of the highlights. Did anyone watch the game and can confirm? Says he went 1/4 I just wanted to see the form and release speed

  4. Showed good mobility as a 4 but not enough shooting to space that way. Too short for 5 work till his frame matures more although his wingspan is the great equalizer.

Mavs will need to give him minutes at the 4 and I would like it as a starter if they push PJ at SF and Cooper at SG.
