  1. Last season I don't think we had a single guard who could dribble in traffic consistently, or make good decisions / the right reads (I'm looking at you DLo). In the limited minutes I saw from Sergio (Larry) I think he could actually get backup point guard / playmaker minutes, as his basketball IQ, physical size and technical ability (tight handle) are night and day from what we had last season.

  2. He could be very impactful if he develops his 3 ball consistently. 0:50 the defense isn't honoring his shot and he makes off a poor contest. 1:07, when his shot gets honored, he can operate his best, attacking closeouts to create shots at the rim. Don't see much of an in between game for him to be all-star level or anything, but further developing his 3 ball will give him the tools to be a very effective oversized playmaker.

  3. He has more spacing in the NBA, he's going to thrive there. Remember, what Luka said, FIBA bball is harder to play, not better, but harder because there's barely spacing.
De larrea is a spanish league champion and a final four European champion already, you cannot compare any NCAA career with that

  4. This is what happens when you stay and develop in a good European club with an important role rather than going to the only-muscle-and-shooting-but-no-tactic NCAA.

  5. If you ignore the poor shooting performance I really liked his feel and vision. Looks really comfortable in the pick and roll. Plus he looks huge despite the baby face. The Russian kid has something too, just has to finish his layups haha.

  6. I say give him the ball and let Coop and the other young guys loose! Fuck it what’s the worst that can happen 🤷🏾‍♂️
