Goodluck, Dallas don't be trading with Lakers
It’s just so funny how the lakers are really trying to be the mavs 😂
👀
Get Christian Braun and Jonathan Kuminga.
With Luka, Reaves and Walker we’d have a starting 5 nailed down for 3 years.
Dallas can’t help LAL get better unless it’s a fleece. They’re gonna want all 3 seconds, Adou and a pick swap.
At this point i really dont care who it is or when they pull the trigger.
Overrating PJ Washington severely. Hasn’t been healthy lately, 3 ball numbers are low, defense is not close to being lockdown, and he is not wildly athletic.
Bah
As long as Pelinka remains Lakers GM the Mavs will not do any business again …. for obvious reasons.
Jaden Ivey
Play the rookies and develop them. They look good in the summer league. This year is for building.
cost and production, I still think Cam Carr will be a better bargain than any of these other people. I don’t care if it’s summer league. Some people are just stars and Carr is one of them.
wishlist priority
Waston
Kuminga
Washington
I’d rather just give minimum contracts to DFS if bought out and Thybulle. If we aren’t getting a perfect fit 3nD wing why keep wasting assets, we don’t have the luxury of throwing away on another rental.
so much talk about PJ, isnt he from Dallas? gets to play for home team and raise his children there? is there any reason to be believe he has any desire to leave? or is Dallas again going to trade a player who wants to stay into the very team Luka got traded to, knowing full well what questions PJ will be constantly asked for the rest of the season again.
Adou better
Yall crazy if you think Dallas will trade with the Lakers again 😂😂!
Everyone including Trevor saw Rob with Payton Watson at the game in Vegas. You want to speculate on something speculate on that !!
PJ is more BIG than WING especially as he gets older. He's PF/C not really a SF/PF. You don't wan't him chasing players on the perimeter.
Peyton Watson or bust
Do not understand when you all start to throw gasoline on Fire.. There are zero chance the Lakers could sign PJ.. so why to continue this…
YOU GUYS really think PJ wants to leave Dallas, where he is from by the way, to go to the Lakers to play with a hurt Luka? You guys gotta stop.
Lakers need to concentrate on the wings they could get because pelinka is going to sell this dream and it's not going to work .
Ujiri vs pelinka is like a wall meeting an unmovable object
I would think PJ is Luka's call. Surely they wouldn't pass up a chance to get him if Luka wants him.
A smoke screen makes sense. Only offering Kuminga 10M is almost not even a real offer. That's well below mid level .
I hope we get PJ and Peyton. We would be good. Impossible. Carr and Adou turn out and now we have wings galore
Can we waive Bronny/Laravia/ whose Dog is barking in n the back?
Kuminga is not him; not all upside is worth it and giving him a big contract is a BIG mistake.
I would rather have PJ Washington/ Cam Johnson by absorbing cap space other teams don’t want.
No trading Carr or Thiero; need their development on cost controlled contracts.
Please stop positioning yourself as "we're smarter than a Mark Walter-owned Lakers front office." The debate isn't who's the better basketball fit (P.J. Washington, Kuminga or another option), it's whether you're solving the same optimization problem the Lakers are. Optimization is why the team chose Mamu over Rui (more threes, more finishes at the rim, and fewer mid range attempts). Roster decisions are based on more than Trevor's Cleaning the Glass stats, or Jovan's salary cap knowledge, or Pete's long-standing reputation for film study. The Lakers are almost certainly evaluating thousands of scenarios using sophisticated quantitative modeling, predictive analytics, probability based decision making, and proprietary models that estimate player development, injury risk, lineup synergies, contract optionality, and future free agent probabilities. P.J's contract extends through the 29/30 season. Those models may conclude that preserving flexibility ("optionality") through 2031 creates more expected franchise value than maximizing wins in 2027. If that's the case, P.J. being the "best basketball player" today isn't necessarily the best decision. As currently constructed, the Lakers roster will have a ton of cap space going in 2030 and beyond. It just so happens that a certain reigning Defensive Player of the Year now has a contract that could make him an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2031. Maybe that's a coincidence, maybe it isn't.
Nothing is certain in the NBA. Make the best move with the information you have, trust your vision, and move forward. Stop assuming every contract will become a bad one.
