  1. The ref needs to go to the line with the ball. After everyone is in their spots, not including the shooter, he does a 10 count. The time starts when everyone is in the box. If you have some motion or warm up, that is PART of the 10 seconds. Or the person can do a warm up but once they get the ball it's 5 seconds.

  2. @John appreciate this loved A Williams hope they keep him on the main roster as our 3rd C so they can work him daily and build his explosion and weight. I want to see Hugo destroy any team we face in Summer Ball but even his almost triple double talents made me smile. AN our rook tho he is green as grass looks like he could be a walking double double at PF in 2 years

  3. Honestly after watching summer league again I like the 10 min quarters more. Makes the game feel more important and each moment matters just a tad more. And I think they just just put a timer for free throws… it’s not disputable. Do it like a pitch clock. As soon as sub comes or whistle blown it’s a 10 second countdown or if u do it before u give the ball make it a 15 second countdown. Regardless nba product during the regular season has to mean more. After also watching World Cup again and how much each game in other country means because of Pro/Rel it’s a much better product. NBA will never do that obviously but especially for outside of the big market teams like Celtics, Knicks, Sixers, bulls, lakers it just doesn’t mean as much often on a game to game basis. Like losing is okay and promoted and rewarded. Development lacks for most teams compared to Celtics, OkC. The playoffs shouldn’t be so drastically different of a product as we see compared to the regular season from the players and officials. We deserve a better product consistently for the money we pay on TV, streaming, and in person at games

  4. Amari looked great. Besides him, the shooting was horrible. I'm not excusing it by saying this, but the refs were horrible. At one point, Hugo was getting hugged by a Raptors player. He was literally hugging him, and he ended up losing the ball. No call.

That said, they were too loose with the ball. And missed a ton of open shots.

    C minus

  5. Cenac, Williams and Hugo all good showings. Mitchell was rougher to see the potential but it is there. Good energy and crazy athlete If he can end up bringing the ball up and initiating the offense for second units he is going to carve out a role . Walsh is really looking over his shoulder and garza is already looking over his shoulder with Cenac.

  6. Forgot about that two-point FT experiment and thought I was losing my mind for a second. Love what we got from Amari and Cenac & Williams are both absolute freaks athletically. Should be fun to watch over the course of the Summer League. Loved how JT, Derrick, Neem & Walsh all came to show support.
    Thanks John

  7. Thanks for the coverage.
Fouling is too common because the rules do not penalize the fouling team enough. ALL fouls, even those on the floor, should be the choice of shots or the ball and a new 24 second clock. There should be very, very few circumstances under which fouling is a viable tactic.
