   I'd argue that Thunder, Spurs, Nuggets, and Wolves, even arguably the Rockets with healthy Vanvleet KD and Adams all have the perimeter personnel to withstand Luka or Austin going off in the playoffs but we have no one that can plausibly provide resistance to Shai, Harper, Murray, Ant, or KD.
   Pistons, Celtics, Sixers, Heat and Cavs also have an edge over us on the perimeter (Giannis plays outside-in).

They both acted like they agreed with you, but they have both been saying all this off-season that if we don't add two more top starters this off-season isn't successful. Just not realistic.

20. Who's to say Watson will have the same type of season this coming year. I do not get all excited about one year wonders. They have to do it consistently

21. Don't worry about Reaves, he is one of the few who has improved his craft each year. Now that the Lakers have shown their loyalty, he will give more, you can see that in him taking five million less. Luka is the one you need to make sure he gives his all.

22. I'm not trading two young potential quality players, AND picks, for one quality player…unless it's a superstar. Peyton Watson is NOT a superstar.

23. I'm not as high on Watson as others. One small stretch of the season is not enough to definitively conclude he's that guy. I'd love to have him but Watson is also a theoretical player rn, not just Adou and carr

27. Sorry but if I was the shot caller I would Not trade Adou Thiero nor Cameron Carr for anybody period! They are our future and our future is looking bright.

    Hasn't anybody besides Lakers management learned from previous mistakes yet! Lakers went younger, more athletic and in house and it has and will continue to pay dividends.

    Yes they need more time on the court during actual N.B.A regular/post season play but Cameron Carr and Adou Thiero are both going to be high level players for the purple and gold for a long time to come. As long as they aren't traded for the,"win now lose later",attitude/mistake which management has been guilty of using often in the past then we should be a contender for a long time very soon.

    Do we need another 3 and D wing defender and more defense in general, yes of course we do. But in my opinion and from what I've heard and understand those athletes are in their way as soon as the contract negotiations get hammered out.

    Also, this season's California Classic and Summer League teams in general look young, talented and athletic just as our actual team has shaped up to being as well.

    It's not a coincidence. You may recall Rob explaining last season or the season before that the team has decided to go,"younger, more athletic and in house", perhaps. 👍

28. Again agreed about rather seeing the Clippers win 1 than seeing the most hated Celtics go up by 3 banners on the Lakers.

    I don't want either as well but come on man. No true Lakers fan cares about what the crappy clippers at this point. They are so far behind that it wouldn't even register in the level of 20 to 17!

29. Because the media uses percentage numbers to,"read the tea leaves", as Jovan says often to read an athlete who hasn't played a game with the new look Lakers. That doesn't necessarily add up to,"underselling."

30. I don't understand what's going in the mind of some "fans." You got Luka, you just maxxed AR, you emptied the cupboards for Walker Kessler. You spent your entire wad of cap space cash. Why TF would you ask if we're punting the season? SMH.
