She saw all those “killers” coming next season, so she didn’t want to compete for her job next season! She would’ve contributed if she stayed, Maddy’s a really good PG

There was some light talk of this in her freshman year. pray Maddie gets and receives her wholeness mentally physically and spiritually. if she decides to come back to the Gamecocks, we the fams will embrace her with open arms. the lights only get brighter with the Gamecocks. ❤🏀🙏
Take the season off and don't give it any more thought. She needs to put herself 1st and not have basketball in the picture. Shut it all down and concentrate on important things. Not basketball.

I love Maddy Mouse. I'm sad to hear of her struggling, but I'm glad and encouraged to see her prioritize her mental health, especially with so many athletes taking their lives after silently suffering until the despair overwhelmes them.
Man please stop, y'all talking like you know whose going to start. McDaniel is stepping away and looking at herself because she is not going to start, get real. The talent around her is much better than her . You are the woke problem assuming it's anything else. Wow excuses, excuses, excuses. She was not going to start!
Seeing her teammate Watkins step away and come back with so much love and support probably gave her the courage to make the same decision
