3. Braden Smith doesn’t look like NBA talent? Why drafting him over what’s available at 38? The college scouting really suck. The last 5 years, we drafted Duerte, Jackson, Mathurin, Walker, Shepherd, Furphy, Jones and Smith. Looks like only hits is Furphy and maybe Shep. Walker may turn out to be a role player, certainly not worthy the 8th pick. Mathurin is yet to be signed as a restricted free agent. Duerte is gone from the league, IJax is overpaid. It’s time to find out why all the missed draft picks. The trades are all good the same 5 years. So talent evaluation is good for players already in the league.

4. Taelon Peters is gonna screw himself out of a job,dude should be putting up 20 + easily in the Summer League.Peters has game but his lack of aggressiveness is gonna hurt him.Kwanmura is better than Smith.Slawson,Mast,Kwanmura,
   Peters,and Keita these 5 players 2 will have deals with Pacers the other 3 on the Noblesville Boom.

5. But the Pacers already have Johnny Furphy to dunk on everyone! 😁 The Pacers were hoping Braden Smith would be the second coming of TJ McConnell. Playing for Philly in the 2015 summer league, TJ averaged 3.7 points, 3.7 assists, and 0.3 steals in 18.8 mpg. For the Pacers, Braden averaged 6.8 points, 7.0 assists, and 1.6 steals in 26.8 mpg. I'd say so far so good for Braden. 👍

6. I'd cut bait now when it comes to Smith. People say it doesn't make sense to give up on your pick. I say he should have never been drafted.. and it doesn't make sense to waste a 2-way slot on a 5'9 guy who can't shoot and is a traffic cone on Defense. Every player I said to draft has had a great summer league. Scouting department severely lacks for this team. Idc about his 7 assists on his 3+turnovers and 26%, 29%. He's atrocious and his college play wasn't much better. He was a bricklayer in college too. I'm surprised he hasn't tried to superman rip his jersey off his chest like he did in college after a ton of misses. I'd rather have Yuki. He's far more talented and Smith will never be a McConnell. McConnell was lucky to be McConnell in this league. Yuki is so humble he won't say he know's he's far better. So I'll say it for him. It ticks me off when we could have had a Ryan Conwell, Otega Oweh and picked up Baba Miller too if they'd tried. Yet we end up with nothing basically.

7. I liked Reink Mast early on in college. I watched him and the first thing I noticed was his high IQ, great timing. His passing skills and shooting. I feel he's a player who can dominate a summer league, or G-League. But he will come back down to earth a bit in the NBA. Because of he's a bit smaller at his position than most guy's he will match up against. But he's far better than Braden Smith.

8. I know the front office don’t want to have egg on their face, but I’m sorry Yuki deserves the third string two way over Smith
