Rachel Nichols doesnt get it. Billionaires have options. If Portland doesnt want to pay for a new arena, there are 5 other cities who will. If the city of Portland thinks it's a bad deal, then back out and watch your team disappear and go ahead and call the billionaire "greedy" but if it's such a bad deal for you then you should be happy the team is leaving, not angry about it.
There isn't another great market. Raleigh is college hoops and Nashville is in Memphis' territory.

Next time she's gonna say that the NBA should be forced to turn control of the league over to the federal government so the "greedy billionaires" can't run the league any longer. What a joke.
Right on Rachel. Or the cities should own the teams, including the profit from tickets, TV deals etc. Teams wouldn't abandon their fans. The profit could go to clean water, school books etc. Local people could vote for a team president every 4 years. We wouldn't have ridiculous billionaires screwing up teams for decades. At the very least players should negotiate with the cities to start a new league to keep the owners on their toes.

I live in Oregon. The Trailblazer don't do a thing for me. I couldn't care less if they left.
It sounds like Cheapskate Tom has "concepts of a plan" for the arena renovation. Tom reminds me a lot of that other greedy billionaire who uses that phrase all the time.
