Any real Hawks Fan that watched the Hawks at any point this season had to notice how butter soft this team was.
It wasnt an effort issue, it was a lack of physicality and toughness issue.
Every team the Hawks played tried to beat the Hawks up physically.
Then in the playoffs versus the Knicks it was put on Stage in front of the World.
Everybody wanted another Star player but A star player wasnt going to fix the elephant in the room of how soft the team is. The facts were the Hawks were to soft to compete against anyone in the playoffs. So when Onsi said we not one player away thats what he meant.
So Onsi works his magic 🎩 ✨️ Trades for Wiggins, Dort, Nembhard, and Devin Carter all players that are physical, tough, or scrappy. Two of which have Championship DNA. They've been to the promise land fought in tough battles and came out victorious.
Then he drafts the Best Floor General in the Draft 🫡 the Capt "Kingston Flemings " who is also scrappy and tough. He also drafts a big strong enforcer of a man in Zuby Ejiofor another Dawg. And he tops it off by bringing in a floor Spacer thats 7ft tall in Veesaar.
This takes all the pressure off JJ all he needs to do now is go be great 1st team All NBA type player we know he can be
