He's a career 30% 3pt shooter and does nothing off ball. No thanks. I guess if it's 3/36 then sure but only if it's that low number. Also team option that final year.
Putting long term money into a guy who isn't a very good shooter like Mathurin is not something I'm interested in. 2 year deal at best, but a sign and trade has to be 3 years. I think the 3rd year can be non guaranteed. Either way, the dude can't shoot. I don't want a big money SG who can't shoot.
Mathurin could be that 6 man scoring punch off the bench. What you were hoping Hardy would have given us.

Hell yes! Go Get Mathurin. He's who I wanted more than anybody at the Deadline last year. Then I would also love trade with POR for Scoot or Sharpe somehow. Really solidify your guard rotation for years to come. That would give you 2 young explosive Guards who can create their own shot and allow for even more rotation versatility and give you the ability to slide Kyrie to SG and have him coming off ball where he excels and is at his best more often. 2 young guards that fit this whole youth movement and Flaggs timeline perfectly for this Rebuild…

I just not high on Max at all. He's a spot up shooter. As Kidd said. He needs to shoot more. Midrange game and handles need work. Non-athletic and defense is overrated

Benn is a good teammate. Never heard anything bad about him off court. In fact the year he had the torn labrum apparently he was baking for the guys b/c he was so frustrated he couldnât be on the court in the playoffs. He was just trying to be involved. I think pacers didnt think they mathrins style was the perfect fit. They also questioned if they would be able to afford him even more so w/ whatever they decide with a Jarace Walker.

Given where the clippers are at, they will want some future compensation for mathurin like a first. Why not look at teams who are taking the next step like Portland

Max is more consistent and a Warrior. I remember when Mathurin started trash talking Cunningham and Ivey when Pacers won against the Pistons. He wasnât available most of the time but always the first one to talk. I donât like him as a player and person. Hopefully the Mavs will pass on him. A player like Jrue or dream target Cason Wallace would be great for the Mavs now.
