INSTANT REACTION: LeBron James chooses 76ers over Cavaliers; signs 2-year deal w/ Philadelphia
After nearly a month of mulling his options, LeBron James announced in a social media post that he will sign with the Philadelphia 76ers.
James, a small forward, will join guards Tyrese Maxey and V.J. Edgecombe, forward Jaylen Brown and center Joel Embiid in a star-studded 76ers lineup.
This was the fourth foray into free agency for James, 41, who will begin his unprecedented 24th NBA season in October. He played the previous eight seasons with the Lakers, his longest continuous stint with any franchise.

As a born and raised resident of Akron Ohio if I owned the Cavs there is no way I’d allow his number to be retired and there would be no statute he periodically 💩 on the Cavs at every opportunity I’m a competitor also so F him go Cavs. Koby should be on very thin ice also his decision making has become very suspect these past few years
I like the move. Bron in Cleveland wouldn’t have done anything to impact winning as the roster is currently constructed. Bron isn’t defending at this point of his career and the Cavs were dead last in the league last szn in defensive rating. Philly makes way more sense for him at this point. The fans in Cleveland are just delusional holding on to past achievements that happened 10 yrs ago. Time to move forward guys. LeBron will still finish his career as a cavalier im sure of it, but we will never win because of him again
