If I'm Pelinka I'm talking to Peyton and his agent and making an attempt. No, you can't pay Watson the money he wants right now, but the idea of playing in LA next to Luka Doncic is very enticing. After Jones match now Denver is 68m in the tax hole BEFORE Watson new contract at 25-28m per year they are NORTH of 240m in tax penalties. Locked on Nuggets is live right now a ton of Denver fans expect Watson may get traded.

Cam Johnson wouldn't be a headache. If Kuminga wants to be a Laker he could've been one already. I know he wants money, but his options are limited. Id rather had PJ Washington if they have to take on salary. Who would you want PJ Washington Christian Braun???
I want Braun. He’s an elite role player who had a bad year because he was hurt. We could literally get assets for him this summer and by next summer he’s back to being a positive value contract we could move for more assets if we wanted to. (Or keep him). I don’t think it would be Vando tho. I think it would be our expirings of DK, Jake, and Hardy where maybe one or two of them gets rerouted to a new team, and we get a second or two. Denver needs to fill roster spots yeah but it’s more cap efficient to sign minimum guys.
5 years for Braun is a complete problem. No way that contract should be acquired by anyone. Denver should be stuck with that thing for at least 3 years.
