Brian Windhorst says these 3 reasons are a big reason why LeBron James did NOT choose the Cavaliers
LeBron James’ decision to sign elsewhere left Cleveland Cavaliers fans searching for answers, and Brian Windhorst believes three key factors ultimately pushed LeBron away from a third stint in Cleveland. Whether it was roster construction, long-term championship outlook, personal priorities, or another opportunity that made more sense, the decision has sparked one of the biggest debates of the NBA offseason. Now, Cavaliers fans are left wondering if there was anything Koby Altman or the organization could have done differently.
The bigger question is whether those reasons reveal more about LeBron’s priorities or the Cavaliers’ current position as a contender. Did Cleveland truly miss its opportunity, or did the franchise avoid making a move that could have complicated its future? We’ll break down Windhorst’s three biggest takeaways, discuss whether they hold up, and debate if the Cavaliers are actually in a better position moving forward without LeBron James.

If he was such a fan of Darius Garland, then why didn’t he just go to the Clippers???it Makes No Sense!!!
Guys it time to let it go for whatever reason he didn't want to come back to Cleveland.
No McNuggetts …it was you and certain homers who played Lebrons return…we all knew from the Decision that the longer this took that he wasn't returning…plus that dummy Koby Altman LITERALLY MADE NO MOVES. HE SAT ON HIS A**
I will be selling everything I have LBJ, an wouldn't walk across the street to see a statue. Just sayin
LeBron wanted to go to NY from the beginning which is why he is living in NY….Jalen Brunson ruined those dreams of being the one to break the drought for the Knicks so he decided to go to Philly and commute. No one was rooting against the Knicks more than LeBron.
LaBron never liked Cleveland. its always been Akron or northeast Ohio. I hope you guys can see that now
Yall gotta understand brian windhorst doesn't have any intel on lebron or rich paul
This Cleveland podcast talking about a 76er for the past 3 days 😂😂
LBJ was never coming back to CLE. It was amusing watching everyone get hyped up on it when you all KNEW deep down he wasn’t coming CLE. Crazy!!!
All that stuff about playing for happiness was crap. He is obviously ring chasing and was looking around the league for his next team – not a reunion with CLE.
Nobody wants a 42 year old non defensive ball dominant player him harden Mitchell would have made the Cavs the worst defensive team go get kuminga or demar derzoran
Listen these guys need to get over it LeBron James is now a Philadelphia 76er he never had any intentions of coming to Cleveland.
They're missing the point. It's not about Garland as much as it is Harden. Cavs would've had a better shot if it were Garland instead of Harden. Also the Cavs are soft and that's directly on Koby
LeBron is just a ring chaser he is not the best player in the nba if Jordan or Kobe was in there prime thay would easily beat LeBron because he has no defense get over LeBron Cleveland we need to win a championship with out him and spoil LeBrons last two years with the 76ers
Iam sorry bull but jordan wasn't leaving his competitive nature wouldn't allow that. He wanted to beat the other great players not team up with them
Yall need to move on bro
How anyone in their right mind think Lebron is better than Jordan. Jordan is number 1 and it’s not even close
Jordan is clearly the GOAT, he was much better than LeBron. Jordan had no weaknesses except maybe gambling and women. Jordan was an average 3pt shooter in an era that didn’t emphasize 3pt shooting. It’s intellectually insulting to even put LeBron in the same conversation as Jordan.
Bird and Magic made the NBA popular in America. Jordan not only made the NBA a global sport but he built Nike. LeBron, outside of his longevity simply can not compare on or off the court.
LeBron is the one who made changing teams normal!! He has no identity…
EVERYTHING you guys said this segment…I COMPLETELY AGREE with! So messed up by them for trying to hold Darius' trade against us…….GO CAVS!!!
Mcnuggets stop it…Harden is Washed and you know that get off the set please
And i'll say it again…Philly's starting 5 have ALL the skill…but they are a bit height-challenged…it's one reason Lebron would of been a better fit here…
Why are we talking about this? He choose Philly move on
LeBron didn’t say this and you idiots know that. LeBron didn’t come because he felt Philly gave him his best chance to win. Cavs dropped the ball. Windy is just reporting what he heard and I’m sure it wasn’t from LeBron’s camp.
lebron went on live tv and called windhorst weird & yall think he’s part of his camp😂😂😂
To Quote Phil Collins:
"And I really ain't bothered what you think of me
'Cause all I want of you is just to let me be
I don't care anymore!
Do you hear, I don't care no more!!"
Yeah Mike With Out Scottie there Will Be No rings For MJ
I believe it. He wasn’t going to play with Harden or PG.
Scottie didn't start out the great star, but improved into that awesome baller. Mike helped Scottie mold into the megastar, and didn't team up with another rival. That's impressive to me. MJ was the initial Black Mamba that inspired and set out the blueprint for the legend, Kobe. Bron is outstanding, but he's number 2. MJ is the ferocious g.o.a.t.
Play the young guys forget that old man… Move on!!
Rich Paul and LeBron turned on their former confidant and friend Altman. That is a story that should be talked about.
