Larry bird could easily drop 45 points per game if he was playing in today’s era

Bird answered: "This is HOW basketball should be played."
This is one of the reason why he became a LEGEND. Playing to be the greatest, playing for legacy.
Meanwhile, despite advance athleticism and healthcare now, we have players LOAD MANAGING everything due to pinky injuriy or fatigue.
They prioritize MONEY over legacy. BUSINESS SIDE over basketball.

First truly coherent memory of my entire life:
It’s 1991 and I’m 3 years old sitting on my dad’s lap in the Boston Garden. The visual aspect of the memory is extremely blurry but I can remember we my dad saying, “Keep your eyes on number 33 for entire game, even when he doesn’t have the ball.”
That performance post injury and “Chuck works for me in the summer. He mows my yard” 💀💀💀 LEGEND

Great video, I was recently recommended this very game by the algorithm and now you drop a video on it as well.
Interestingly, only 2 years later Indiana completely blew up the team, trading away Schrempf to Seattle (for McKey who became one of their key defenders), while Person and Williams went to Minnesota in what seems like a really lopsided trade. Yet, they actually got better and better as the years went on. Do Pacers fans ever wonder what if? Or was that for the better?
Larry Legend will always be in my top5 ever. In comparison I can remember Lebron being carried off the court for cramps 😆
If this happened today, player would be sent to hospital to a month, and it would be shut down for the rest of the season
