CAVALIERS RUMORS: Hawks interested in Jarrett Allen + what’s the holdup w/ James Harden’s contract?

The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to dominate the NBA rumor mill, with reports linking the Atlanta Hawks to center Jarrett Allen while James Harden’s contract situation remains unresolved. Is Cleveland actually willing to move one of the league’s best defensive big men, or are teams simply checking in on a player the Cavaliers still view as a core piece? At the same time, Harden’s unsigned deal has fans wondering what’s taking so long and whether it’s simply a matter of contract structure, cap flexibility, or something bigger behind the scenes.

The bigger question is how aggressive Koby Altman should be before the season begins. Should the Cavaliers entertain offers for Jarrett Allen if the return makes them better, or is he too valuable to a championship run? And with James Harden’s contract still pending, is there any reason for Cavs fans to be concerned, or is this just another offseason negotiation that will eventually take care of itself? We’ll separate fact from fiction and break down what these latest rumors could mean for Cleveland’s title hopes.

  1. Cavs need to sign harden or lose millions in cap space if he walks. They could sign and trade him if he agreed to a deal. He said he wanted to take a cut to get more talent but what if there was no more talent? I'm thinking that deal involves getting talent not just money savings. Theya re over the 2nd apron now so that cap space is expensive, more than a salary.

  2. I would definitely aim at Kuminga and I like Trey Murphy idea I would kick the tires on Holland out of Detroit also Peyton Watson from Utah maybe Maturian from the clippers

  3. Which player on the Hawks roster is worth trading Allen for? Kuminga is essentially a free agent so why should the Cavs need to do a sign and trade deal to get Kuminga? The Cavs made it to the Eastern Conference Finals and Allen was a huge factor in them getting that far, so why should the team want to trade him? You guys seem like you just want to trade him to do something! Can Murphy play the center and power forward positions? He doesn’t seem to be able to play the center position!

  4. The reality is Altman has ran us into a dead end, lowered our ceiling and window since Mitchell deal. While NY in the same period has built a champion with less assets.

Surround your small guard (Brunson) with 3 & D players that are athletic and length with a center that allows you to play 4 out. Shocker that works

  5. How do you guys not know that Jalen Duren from the Detroit Pistons is a free agent available. Couldn’t we trade Allen for Kuminga to the Hawks and free up money that we had ready to pay Bron….we are just not taking enough calculated high risks to invest in the chance of high reward being a championship. It’s been proven over and over. We didn’t go get Jaylen Brown and now he’s on a eastern conference team we might have to face in the playoffs where they go in with a level of confidence and experience that I don’t know our team will. Why let a player like that go to our competition within the same conference. Evan Mobley is not a dog and you can’t really make him one

  6. Cavs will be fine. We just made the final four and everyone is acting like we're gonna be sorry. I expect us to have a great season and playoff run
