No trading Carr
Love Watson but Carr got more upside. You'll never find a guy with his size 6'5 with 7'1 wingspan who can shoot and explosive athletic.
Stupid, keep what you have for now as there are lots of options out there that would be more sound. Best teams now have depth trading 2 playable for 1 isn't wise. Thinking and making moves like this is why they were old and slow with LBJ last year. Need to keep youth and upside as they will develop with PT also allows options for moves that arent being seen yet as the season goes. Another big is the first need currently. They are more reasonable in assets and players needed to make those trades.
Lakers should try to trade dk and hardy to Miami or Orlando for one second. They are expiring and both teams have a good defense but need offense
Trade Bronny to phi for one second hopefully two
Trade four seconds and the swap. Add thiero if necessary for watson on a 5 year with a team option on 120m
If we had made an offer before signing Mamu & Grimes we probably could of got him for the 28 million we're paying those 2. Maybe even for 25 but now it seems like a stretch given our cap situation. I'd stand pat where we are & continue pursuing Kuminga & try to add another center through trade or go after Nic Richards
I will burn my jersey if they do this. I’m out. Like completely out
yeah im not including carr or adou for watson. for once lets keep our rookies/young guys and let them develop and be the future of the team
Watson is great, I said when he was at UCLA, he was the best player, but he didn’t get the playing time. It doesn’t hurt to get him, but the Lakers need more bigs. I’d take Watson over Kuminga everyday.
You never trade adou and Carr ! Never ever
What people don’t understand is Watson knows how to play and wont complain if he not getting the ball. He knows how to cut and get open just from playing with joker and Murray. He picks his spots well and he bigger longer and can guard 5 positions and he is good to great at it. I like car but respectfully when is he going to shine especially playing behind reaves and grimes.. The contracts they gave out to them guys means they not going where soon.. So when does Carr have a chance to grow.. At the moment Peyton is has played with greatness and he knows what it takes to win a championship being that he has one already and can instantly contribute and make a major impact right now… So we need to give Carr up.
this is a really tough call, i think a tougher call than most people are admitting. Everyone says "keep Carr" and I totally understand why. he has potential to be better than Watson. if the Lakers roster was complete as is I would say absolutely dont even consider a trade like this… but unfortunately the lakers roster is NOT complete, and if they want to compete immediately they need a quality starting wing. And I really think the Lakers need to compete for a title now.. right now… this season. Theyve already wasted too much of Luka's prime not seriously competing. I dont know if that was avoidable since trading for him created a massive roster building problem that took a couple of years to unwind. but now its time to swing big every single year, because if you believe theyll just compete next year or the year after, eventually Luka gets older, less healthy, and likely more frustrated.
Keep Carr homegrown. He’s off limit!
F**k Watson if it means giving up Carr or Adou
Keep Carr send em adou
I would be down with trading Carr and I think he will be really good but I would risk the upside for immediate impact. Plus we have 2 way players we can sign to minimums
Do whatever you have to do to get Watson. There is no guarantee carr develops to where Watson is now. Plus Watson is super young and fits our timeline for win now.
Lakers have no one to trade unless they give up Walker or AR it's not going to happen Lakers r done they should trade Luka and get 5 first round picks
no thay dont pw has 1year left on deal we lal good ado thats all
Lakers made a big mistake let's see what happens now AR is the only laker to have an 18 percent field goal rating in one game and that's who the Lakers gave 185 stupid move
Carr and Vando for Watson? maybe
I think a higher salary than 15-16 takes away the mid level and room exception next year. Exact reason Austin gave money back.
Proposed Trade: Lakers get Peyton Watson and Jalen Smith, Nuggets get Cam Carr and future draft capital, and Bulls get Dalton Knecht, Jaden Hardy, and Jake LaRavia.A starting lineup of Luka, Reaves, Grimes, Watson, and Kessler creates a crazy projected net rating by pairing Watson's 41.1% three-point shooting with Kessler's elite rim protection. Securing Jalen Smith completes the picture, unleashing a nightmare second unit with Sexton and Thybulle that delivers unmatched perimeter lockdown and scoring. If this roster happens, tell the league to hit the snooze button and go back to sleep because they are locking down the #1 net rating in the league offensively and defensively—it is officially tap-tap, lights out.
Mate you've got great potential, you just have a tendency to go around and around, rehashing the same thing, over and over, around and around, over and over, in my opinion. If you catch my drift. I do enjoy parts of the content &watch a lot of the vids.
I'm not sold on watson bro. We should forget JK and Watson and raise theiro in that role
HELL NOO !!! I’d be so pissed if they get rid of Carr bro 🤦♂️
Cameron Carr wants to be the best and actually wants to put the work in. If anyone paid attention to his story and what it really took to get where he is they’d know he’s not someone you give up on. He went from being on everyones lottery list, to being in a void on loaded Texas team, playing 60 total minutes in a season, entering the transfer portal going to Baylor half way through the season and had to sit out. Then when he was unleashed the next season and he pulled himself all the way back up to the 1st round and should’ve been top 15 pick. His work ethic is crazy. That’s not someone you give up on. If he comes into next season at 190 he’s going to be nasty. I bet once he cracks the rotation he never leaves it.
Don't trade either player. They are both worth keeping and developing. I want home grown talent. I miss that.
I think you bring in a 3rd team. You give Adou, have to keep Carr. Give all draft assets or use a 3rd teams pick, giving up Vando, Hardy(nice in Denver), Knecht, and Bronny. I can then see by the end of the year, Luka, AR, Carr, Watson, WK. Carr and Watson on the Wings would be incredible, erasing Luka/AR D flaws. And maybe they'd be interested in AK too for 2 young cheap guys
carr > watson (on both ends of the floor).
The Lakers don't need a 4th big contract to add to Luka/AR/Walker. Stick with Carr and develop him.
I just don’t like giving up every star rookie on a rookie contract for anyone because it fucks shit up!
Getting Watson would be great, should have gotten Dort. But Watson would definitely step in at starting wing.
Fuck that.. first instinct
Carr, DK and Hardy the swap and a second… Maybe
honestly, if lakers dont have a chance, I hope nuggets would only trade him in the east and not on the west team
Im good
Cam should only be a trade chip for somebody like Jaylen Brown..
AR, Vando plus Cam in a midseason trade for Jaylen Brown…
The league needs to change the RFA rules so the matching/waiting period isn’t so long. Teams holding players hostage!
Lakers better Keep Carr,….
Nah I wouldn’t trade Carr, don’t be stupid this kid has talent.. Watsons cool but I wouldn’t trade him for Carr maybe in another life if it was Vando and dalton or something but not Carr.
I wouldnt make that trade…. Stop it!!
Would NOT trade carr or thiero i think they can contribute now tbh. Watson will sign the qualifying offer with denver 1year than he will join us next szn 😎🤘🤘 we use out last assets for another wing
With Luka and especially AR, it's win now baby
Peyton was a guy you add not a guy you give up other young talent for. If you can add him without giving up carr or adu would be worth 25 mill for sure. Lakers need cheap talent. They have alot of money tide up right now.
Cameron Carr weighs 185lbs. He is two years away from his man body. In two years AR is 30yrs and Luka is 29yrs. Pull the trigger on that deal now.
