Philadelphia's ceiling won't be determined by its regular-season record, but by whether LeBron James and Joel Embiid are healthy when the playoffs begin. Expect both veterans to have their minutes managed throughout the season, with scheduled rest and the occasional injury-related absence.

    The Sixers' priority will be peaking in April, May, and hopefully June—not chasing the No. 1 seed.

    Because of that, I wouldn't be surprised if they finish anywhere from third to fifth in the Eastern Conference.
