Are The Golden State Warriors On The Same Page?

The Warriors front office is not on the same page. Logan Murdoch’s report from The Ringer reveals the split: “A small contingent wanted the Jaylen Brown trade, but they couldn’t build organizational consensus.” The hosts break down whether four first-round picks is too steep for Brown (probably), but more importantly — why is there no consensus at all? Joe Lacob’s fear of life after Steph is paralyzing the organization. The Warriors keep chasing home runs (LeBron, Giannis, Kawhi) instead of identifying complementary role players. Plus: Kevin Durant didn’t even want to come back. That’s how bad the culture got.

  1. What kills me is that why is it so hard for the organization to use their young players they have now?!! They have a starting 5 that just won the summer league (with 3-players who played a lot last year on that team)!!! They have at least 7-8 players that was on the summer league team that’s hungry to ball——- so let them ball with the vets!!! If they fail -they fail,… if they succeed-then they succeed!!! How else are they going to see what they have if they’re not going to let them play!!! What’s the point of having them then since it’s a win now situation with Steph who’s still putting up elite numbers!!!

  2. I am willing to bet Lacob wanted Brown, while Kerr and Dunleavy didn't want him. I wouldn't be surprised if Curry didn't want Brown either because that will change the system of the team.

  3. having a difference of opinion about an NBA player among a group of FO people is normal. "indeciveness" "indecision" "confusion" etc as a judgement by you two based on year old rumors is just nasty. it takes y'all 6 plus minutes to admit that NOT trading four picks for Brown was a good decision. That last is the OPPOSITE of your initial complaint that the Ws front office is lost in the wilderness.

  4. I been asking Steph Curry for 3 months please retire, like please retire. I can’t watch my second greatest player of all time behind MJ go out like this. He needs to retire so he can go on to his next adventure while he’s a still young. Don’t wait until your old and can’t do nothing you’ll be too tired to so anything. Go now.

  5. I love how everyone wanted hobbled Giannis and would have sent the picks but Jalen brown who’s younger, healthier and has succeeded just as much as Giannis isn’t worth the picks. Make it make sense.

  6. the funny thing every time the talk about Curry retiring as a warriors they forgot it will take two to make that happend.yes Curry said that retiring as a warriors and also front office wanted as they say.but front office can also do the klay move to move out of Curry if the front office will think about the future business.

  7. you forgot to read that the front office didnt think brown would be right "for the post curry era". whyd you stop reading there lmao. does it defeat the narrative that the fo is doing everything for curry

  8. 2 of the picks wouldn’t of mattered because the team would have been good on those 2 years – so really it’s 2 first rounds and Brown is young enough to were you could move him down the line and get 1 in return… it’s not that bad

  9. I've been saying Warriors should have traded Draymond Green for years. Warriors are showing the World how horrible of an organization they are. They don't care about Curry at all. Its been years n each year Warriors the only team in the off season doing nothing.

  10. Dude Jaylen Brown is definitely worth the picks. This is so dumb. Not looking at the bigger picture. You do realize that it doesn’t end there right? Once you have Jaylen Brown he becomes an asset.

You may not get all the picks back if you decided to move on from him but you can get something back. Also STARS attract other STARS. If you have Jaylen Brown he also becomes an asset/attraction so that other players will want to play in GS and contend for a title. For example… I don’t know Philly!? If they didn’t get Jaylen Brown do you think they would have still gotten LeBron at a vet minimum? Nope.

  11. The logic and reasoning that Evan gives is infuriating 😭 why are we treating players like they aren’t assets? You put 3 first round picks into Jaylen Brown, doesn’t mean they just disappear, you can still get those back down the line! We treat picks like they are just as valuable as championships 😂 you can spend and have fun then sell later, like buying a boat. Assets aren’t fleeting, they change form and function like any business. If that’s the case we might as well trade Steph and just as many picks as possible now, at this point we are just keeping a tiger in a cage just to look how it dies at this point 🤡

  12. With JB the GSW are a good team. So, the first 2 first round picks are pretty irrelevant (somewhere around the 20th pick). So, you can keep him for 2-3 years, run it with Steph (Lebron would have come along, most likely), and then trade JB to get back at the very least your 2 remaining picks that he cost. They should have traded for JB, man. Damn…
