He’s gonna be too much of a liability on too much aspects of the game considering his age and injuries and is not even the same level of a shooter as he once was. I expect him to only play like 10-15 minutes a night at most if we get him on a vet min.

If Matisse is alongside Luka and AR then you don't need his drive and kick as much as you do his defense and his 3pt percentage has been just as Klay's the last 3yrs. LaRavia can also fill that role. The Lakers need Luka to be mvp….another center would be nice too. They are not as talented as other teams but Luka is one of the most talented players in the game. After this season LA will get better pieces but this year Luka should carry them to a top 4 seed

24. I think all the things that Sexton provides outweighs the general need for a starting wing:
    -Lakers can default to Wing by committee if needed. This has the added benefit of giving real consistent minutes to the younger players. It allows for them to ease into their role, rather than being thrown in to completely fill a role. There would be build-in less need/impu;lse to pull a guy out of the game if he isnt performing well, as their rotation would be short anyways
    But Sexton specifically provides
    1) Backup playing, which is much needed, as he would slot 3rd on the list.of playmakers. He provide the ability to reduce minutes off of Luka and AR.
    2) Scoring. He can create his own shown and get a bucket when Luka/AR are off the floor.
    3) Change of pace. He provides a far quicker style of play than both Luka and AR. JJ can easily run a faster version of the banshees with him.
    4) Built-in Chemistry with Kessler, on a team filled with new players
    5) Appears willing to improve and buy in to his defensive role/team scheme. He's already discussed watching previous Lakers defensive guards, and trying to learn.

    Id take all that far above a Kuminga who continues to show that it's all about him being the star he thinks he is.

36. Sexton was a great signing, idc what anyone says. Rob was smart for getting him. Luka and AR biggest issues besides defense is health. Now you have a starting caliber guard who can step into the starting line up and organize an offense as well as score. He can be a pest defensively as well. This team has some good potential especially if we can get an another wing or 4 as well as a backup rim protector/ lob threat. Rob cooked considering the circumstances in my opinion. Only trade I wish we could’ve been involved in is the Jaylon Brown sweepstakes. It is what it is
