It's hard to imagine a bottom feeder team like the Raptors were unwilling to play him more than 15m on average in the playoffs when it mattered most; especially, when they had nothing left to loose. It's possible he has never been given a fair shake; considering, he never started more than 13 games in a single season across his entire career.

   A Jalen Smith/Mamu and/or Mamu/Kessler lineup will be a nice option to revert to against teams like OKC.

   Theoretically, he will shoot better than 28.6% from three in the playoffs next season. Oddly enough, Jake LaRavia also shot 28.6% from three in the playoffs. I'm sure this was an anomaly and should be overlooked at all costs. Maybe, they will compliment each other… Rui, you will be missed.

I’ve been very high on Mamu and been singing about how well Luka, Ar, Dfs/Smart, Rui, Hayes/Ayto, which was top 10 offense and defense and overall Mamu is better thab Rui and Kessler is far better than Hayes and Ayton. They won’t be nearly as bad people are saying. People are underestimating the offensive and defensive combo of Mamu and Kessler!

    I also disagree with Luka’s defense against 3s being poor and that he rather want the bigger slower 4s. Luka will do better with the 3s Mamu take the 4s, they will likely hunt Luka anyway to tire him out. Then it’s all about scheming into Kessler, Luka’s defense against 3pt shooting was good last szn, same goes for steals and charges.

    With all that said, it would be very nice defensively to have a guy like Kuminga if engaged to handle a specific type and it’s great to have the”optionality”. His offense outside transition, cuts and lobs are sad.

17. As soon as the Lakers signed Mamu I went to find every highlight I could. I remember him but I had no idea how good he really was. With Rui's departure Mamu is now the guy I will root for along with Cam Carr. When I saw his Kobe tattoo that sealed the deal. Mamu was my new guy on the Lakers.
