The excuse for Murray are unreal . Guy has been average in the last 3 playoffs . Apart from hitting a few game winners vs the Lakers a few years ago . I’ve never seen a player on such a huge contract get so many excuses made for him . I would have traded him this year and break up his contract into younger more athletic players . At least you would get rid of his contract and you’d try something new . We will end up getting e same result in the playoffs when we play good fast defenders . OKC , Spurs , Timberwolves , Rockets all have the players who can shut down Murray in both ends . Going to be another year wasted of Jokic’s prime .
I dont get this Jamal hate from our fanbase all the time? He had a career-high performance in regular season and played 75 games last season. He was great. Yes he had a poor showing in the playoffs – 6 games against the Timberwolves. But is it only his fault they were relentlessly blitzing him out of the Jokić-Murray PnR? I put this failure on Adelman. It's his job to hide Jamal's weaknesses and get the most out of him. How is Mike Brown able to hide Jalen Brunson's weaknesses and win a championship? Murray is similar to Brunson. They both averaged 26 PTS, 7 AST in the regular season. Murray even had better shooting efficiency .63 TS% than Brunson .58 TS%. Murray averaged 4.1 BPM while Brunson had 3.1 BPM during regular season. In playoffs though Brunson continued that same form 28 PTS, 6 AST on .57 TS%, 4.6 BPM. while Murray regressed averaging 24 PTS, 6 AST on .48 TS%, -0.8 BPM as he was constantly blitzed.
The Wolves did have their Anthony Edwards brick … the kool aid drinking since that series has been wild. Go back and watch that loser’s lounge and embrace the honesty that occurred during that show
