Things Just Got MUCH WORSE For The Golden State Warriors

1. I think Russ in Miami would work for one year.

5. If the Warriors where smart they would trade Steph and get something for him before he retires. Milwaukee made one of the smartest decisions this offseason by trading Giannis and embracing a youth movement. If GS was smart they would do the same.

   Had Milwaukee extended Giannis and traded more of their future picks I would have given them an automatic F– grade regardless of who they traded for with those picks.

7. kinda surprised miami is considering Russ, given he hasnt been effective the last couple of seasons on any of the teams he was on. Theres better guards out there than Russ, if anything i wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt get picked up until the all star break or retires. Ben simmons coming back? Did he ever fix that non exsistant jumper? Hell even the late great Kobe Bryant said Simmons needed a damn jump shot and he never worked on one since he was drafted. Its crazy how he was the number one pick at one point. If he does come back hopefully he has a jumper because his game as of now is one dimensional and that wont get you far as a player. For the warriors theyre going to lose Curry if they dont build an actual contender, theyre still too small as a team and adding the unicorn didnt really do much. Curry is going to carry that warriors team, tbh I wouldnt be shocked if this was the catalyst for him leaving and thats IF they stay healthy.

Ben Simmons being afraid to shoot most likely comes from some sort of embarrassment stemming from a missed shot during his youth or just simply not wanting the pressure of being blamed for missing a shot. The only problem with that is he’s had a bigger target on him from not shooting instead of just shooting and missing. It’s similar to DeAndre Ayton looking like he might actually be afraid of catching the ball or dunking to protect his fingers from stubbing his nails or getting some sort of stinging feel on his palm.

   For the Warriors: winning that 4th title game them a grotesque misconception of their young talent being more than the sum of their parts. Jordan Poole, James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, even Andrew Wiggins were all kept way longer than they should have. The Denver Nuggets made the same mistake 1 year later with overestimating then overpaying their young talent plus that introduction of the 2nd apron didn’t help matters either for both franchises.

9. If all of these free agents and players trying to return, are willing to take the minimum then they will be signed by Deadline.

11. I feel like with Butler & Moody's injuries, GSW should trade them (with draft compensation) to SAC for LaVine & Monk. I think the numbers work. The teams swap massive expiring contracts. SAC swap Monk for a younger version of him in Moody who's about $9M cheaper the following season, plus draft comp. GSW gets 2 veteran players who are healthy & can contribute right away. Seems like a win-win.

    Also, if the Lakers miss out on Kuminga, they should give Simmons a look. If he's fully healthy, he could give them minutes at the PF position. Yeah, he can't shoot, but he could be a better version of Vando…again, assuming Simmons is healthy & still has his athleticism.
