Whenever it's time to discuss the win projection. The reason why some fans believe the Nets will go over the projected win total is that they were tanking last season. Well, so was half of the league. The majority of those 20 wins were off the backs of other tanking teams, like the Wizards, Bulls, Pacers etc.
Those free wins won't be there anymore. Every game will be a battle, and The Nets still have the least amount of talent in the league.
Mikel won't be an impactful player in his rookie season, he's not an efficient guard, it will be growing pains with him, he needs a season to adjust to the NBA while building out his body, just like Egor needed.
Don't be surprised if their win total is in the teens. Some of y'all won't like to hear this, but I welcome The Nets being in the regulation zone, there is no benefit in being mid. It only helps the Rockets get better odds on the pick swap.
