Why The Golden State Warriors Lack Of Movement Signals SOMETHING Is Coming

Chuck Walter and Matt Kolsky break down the Warriors’ cautious offseason, roster flexibility, and reluctance to extend long-term contracts to players like Rui Hachimura or Anfernee Simons. Key topics include Mike Dunleavy Jr.’s stealth trade strategy, the potential for deadline pivots, Kristaps Porzingis’ role, and Golden State’s playoff ceiling in a stacked Western Conference. Can Stephen Curry and the Warriors capitalize on expiring deals, or will the window for contention slam shut before the trade deadline?

  1. Kolesky never sees any fault in anything on the warriors. Draymond stinks half the season ( Draymond is not overpaid), Steve Kerr plays Jimmy and Kuminga at the 5 ( Steve Kerr is not why the warriors suck) , Jimmy is not overpaid, Joe Lacob is the greatest owner etc. I like that he’s not over reactive but this man reacts to nothing and never sees a problem with the personnel.

  2. The past 5 years, Warriors have sat tight, and waited for steph curry to wilt away while hoarding picks and drafting rookies who were proven useless.

Jimmy was our last option when we struck out at other places; 2022 was unexpected, and they actually sat tight and made no big moves, just luck and the Will of Curry guiding us.

Whenevr Kolsky talks about Kuminga, and now Lacob, he has the worse takes. He was doing so well before this. Don't let him talk about this specific topic; it's such a weak take.

  3. It’s genuinely laughable that you think the nest 6-7 months will look better let alone different the last 2 months because that been the story for the last 3 seasons.

  4. if the goal is to free up the books for next year, then the front office making a point to extend 42 yr old al harrington for one more year just doesnt make sense to me. ANd KNBR tried to explain it. and all willard and didley said is – "well it isnt that much money". not sure why that was the first priority of the off season (where they concluded the off season saying- we are keeping the books clean.

  5. If Lacob got in a standoff with Kerr over Kuminga what are we doing… Lacob should not be making basketball decisions and Kerr should focus on coaching not roster construction. Where's the freaking FO?!!! Our FO is an intern, the coach, and the owner🤦 where is the GM??!! This franchise had Jerry West and Bob Myers and now it's just Lacob and Kerr butting heads with MDJ just handling the draft. Can we get someone in the FO whose competent and has some influential power to convince JOE to stick to the business side.

  6. They should havent brought back Kerr bc its gonna set them back another 2 years. We had a good run but Kerr isnt the right coach to coach the young guys. You cant have two timelines if your not focus on development over veterans. The vets arent even open to having their mins reduced for the team.

  7. I hate for them to go star chasing without a good stable group of guys. Wisemen isnt a bust bc he never got the opportunity. That falls on the GM and Coach Kerr.

Matas from Chicago is available! Hes gonna be good.

  8. Kolsky is off-base when he says Kuminga wasn’t considered a project. He was absolutely raw and chosen for his high ceiling over Franz Wagner, who was right there and considered the more NBA-ready.
Also, they didn’t get that #7 Kuminga pick because they weren’t any good, it was because the Timberwolves weren’t any good. That pick was Minnesota’s and came over with Wiggins for D’Lo.

  9. I hated the GM’s father as the coach of the Lakers, and I knew he would be a failure as well. Yes, I know his father won a championship, but overall it was a far cry from the Pat Riley days. The bottom line is the moment they announced him as the GM, I knew it was going to be all bad, and I am on record on your channel, saying as much.

They do not have some secret plan. Unfortunately, we are going back to the doldrums of warrior yesterday year, where we are losers for decades on end! The only shining spot is we get to watch Steph Curry make miraculous shots for the next couple of years before he retires, but overall the golden days of Golden State are over until we get rid of this GM!

  10. Here we go again. 😂 Don't hope too much. The reason why there is no movement. Other teams don't see any valuable asset that they can get in Warriors right now. Majority of the players are old / injured problem. If you're a GM would you really like to get players who will contribute or will have a great impact to your team. Warriors GM are trying, it is just players they have right now is not good enough for the other teams.
