The Spurs have a new secret weapon 🤫

Stephon Castle is developing the one shot that could unlock the San Antonio Spurs’ offense: a pull-up three after screens.

Castle already averaged 16.7 points and 7.4 assists last season while shooting 41.7% from three over his final 24 games. If defenders can no longer go under screens, Castle can either shoot, attack the basket or find Victor Wembanyama rolling toward the rim.

Workout footage is not proof, but if this new weapon translates to real NBA games, Castle could become San Antonio’s third star.

  1. Mich Johnson, and Castle needs to worry about that Josh Hart match up at the forward position. Castle is the only one who is equipped to counter/cancel/offset Harts intensity & production

Castle working on pull-ups makes him an on ball 3-level scorer, when he needs to be an off ball swiss army knife to raise the teams ceiling.. his game is more versatile than ppl understand. He can post up PGs, create off the bounce against SGs & SFs.. and sets high effective screens for ball handlers (including wemby) on top of the key😮

That's the improvement. Castle needs to be playing off Wemby & Harper bc lets b honest here.. a higher Castle player usage doesn't raise wembys ceiling.
Spurs should view Castle the same way Okc failed Westbrooks talents. Develop the off ball

    *cutting
    *crashing offensive rebounds
*high screen & short roll action
