Jeff Teague AGREES with Kevin Durant saying MVP MEANS MORE than NBA championship | Club 520

Jeff Teague, DJ Wells, and B Hen react to Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant saying that an NBA MVP means more than an NBA championship. Durant won the 2014 NBA MVP with the Oklahoma City Thunder and two NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors. Most people would say this is CRAZY, but Jeff agrees, and says that being an MVP in the NBA is the greatest accomplishment you can have.

  1. For the truly great players the title is way more important than an MVP. Its more of a negative to be an MVP who never won a chip rather than being a champion who missed out on MVP. Especially as wrong MVPs can be chosen, but leading a team to the title is concrete.

  2. Javale McGee has 3 rings and has never even been an all star. If you're a real competitor and a real athlete you'd absolutely agree that being an MVP means so much more than winning a championship. You can be the best player in the world and have DoorDash drivers for teammates meanwhile a bunch of guys who are pretty good and mesh well together can win a ring over you

  3. MVP's play for contending teams. If you win MVP and dont win a chip then what? This is just another way to keep his guard up against the ring chasing allegations

  4. ppl act like if you see Allen Iverson & Derek Fisher in the same place you gon run up to Fisher for an autograph first simply bc he was on a team that won a championship… nah

  5. The Internet looks for any reason to Devalue winning rings🙄 That’s KDs opinion but basketball in the NBA is a team sport but winning chips is always the goal! If you whole team is thriving to be the MVP that’s another story and that would more than likely get people to winning a ring😎

  6. Hes saying this in hindsight realizing he himself took the easy route many years later after the fact and had he stayed with Russ and they even got one, that one wouldve felt twice as better as hus two.

  7. MVP is so flawed though. Not to mention thats a team accomplishment as well, that only one player gets, because your team has to be one of the winningest teams in the league. And the "Best" player in the world doesnt always win it.
