The Warriors Just Gave the Spurs a REAL Shot at Steph Curry

Are the Golden State Warriors failing to maximize the Steph Curry career window? See why recent roster struggles could impact the San Antonio Spurs.

This breakdown analyzes the Golden State Warriors front office attempts to land major stars like LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo. We examine why those recruitment efforts stalled and what that means for the current roster construction surrounding Steph Curry. This analysis is designed for fans interested in front-office strategy and long-term team building.

By looking at these missed opportunities, we can project how the San Antonio Spurs might capitalize on the shifting landscape of the Western Conference. If the Warriors cannot add a second superstar to support the Steph Curry career timeline, the path opens up for younger teams to accelerate their contention windows sooner than expected.

  1. I really don't want to see the spurs giving up any 1st round pics…I don't think they need to give up any major players to still improve to win the championship… I say no to curry and believe in the guards we have to get it done… I think the biggest weakness is a big when Wemby is off the floor….

  2. Why do you keep saying this? We have a team that can win a championship without him And the price that they would be asking for would mortgage our future.

No there is no such thing the NBA has changed too much for that in case you haven't noticed we've had 9 different championships since the last time the warriors won a title.

Parity has arrived in the NBA we do not have dominance anymore. Excuse me he already knows it stop it. I'm gonna give you a quote "Just because you think it's a good idea doesn't mean you should do it."

What do you mean we're not desperate the way you're talking that's exactly what we are all the stuff you're laying down here is absolutely crazy you really don't think we can win a championship.

  3. The Spurs absolutely don't need Curry for the price of several key players. He's a fragile player. Unless Curry himself makes significant concessions like the minimum salary. Far more important is giving Fox a chance to rehabilitate himself, increasing his value, and trying to trade him, not necessarily for Curry, but for a young, promising, and stable point guard. That would still leave some money.

  4. We will be getting rid of players in the near future soon just to avoid the 2nd apron. Might make sense to get Curry just to pick up the 6th ring. We wanted Chris Paul so what’s the difference?

  5. We don’t need Curry and I wouldn’t risk it with him incurring potential injuries, it would be a bad move, not taking anything away from Curry because we all know how good he is but again we shouldn’t give away any first round picks as we are a young team that’s rebuilding and now there. I think we have what we need to win a championship as we are

  6. Getting Curry doesn't make sense. The whole plan should be Carter and Castle as starters. A solid 5 in a normal 2 year contract in order to have time to evaluate how Quiantance recovers from his injury and if Reed can translate his game to NBA level would make much more sense

  7. Steph and Wemby would be more unfair than the KD acquisition. That level of gravity by 2 players in the same team is unguardable. But…. We don't need Steph. The cost woukd be too expensive.
