Let's just swing for the fences and try to pry jokic from the nuggets when that relationship falls apart. We have the draft capital and imagine JJJ playing next to him along with Will Hardy's motion offense and players like Peterson and key and Lauri and Ace who would kill a team if they double jokic he would be making the whole starting lineup average 20. Will Hardy likes centers who can pass it opens things up and JJJ would help sure up jokics weakness on defense and at least jokic is a good rebounder
It truly was a great trade (Kessler). So much value, and now can still develop the young core, then strike when the ‘home run’ is available. I like the Jarrett Allen ideas, but I think they can do even better. Just requires patience and Danny Ainge & Co. understand just that. Now the fans may not, but Ainge does. It will be interesting to see what they do.
Maybe you could do some thoughts and insights videos for the Jazz starters and others. Some history and numbers go through. Get to know the players better (us viewers). Like a video for each player.
Perfect storm. The Wemby domination, the few centers available and Luka demanding a defensive lob receiving rim runner created big overpay for Kessler. Kessler AND the Jazz were actually beneficiaries of the overpay. Their offer to Kessler was fair and in more normal conditions would have been accepted.
Durren has no contract, and Jazz could offer him the deal that they offered to Kessler, He might take it to slight Pistons being angry from lowballing.
