  1. i totally disagree, nurk needs to be a starter. him starting allows Lauri and Trip to play their true positions to start (yes, Lauri is a 3, he plays so amazingly at the 3, his best seasons are at the 3), and covers up Trip's rebounding struggles, which is especially important. don't get me wrong, i want ace to start, but there is nothing wrong with him being the 6 man this year. that's an absurd bench weapon.

nurkic is old, but he is a significantly better piece rebounding and playmaking wise, and when Key, DP, and Lau are on the floor, having a really good playmaking big makes the offense practically ungaurdable. and he's a solid enough rim protector, especially with Trip on the floor.

  2. Lauri at the center maybe on defense it would be against guys his speed and lauri is a good rebounder and stronger now then ever but can keep up and use his length and new strength then on offense play the 3, 4 and jjj is the center

  3. No, it's illegal to change your mind… How dare you do that, you deserve all the hate coming your way and I am SICK of you FLIP FLOPPERS! Be consistent or be GONE!

Totally kidding, looking forward to the season and also, really great take, I agree

  4. That starting lineup hinges on Ace. Will he contribute more playing immediately with JJ, Laurie and DP? They all need their shots along with Key who is hopefully also dishing assists. Or do we need Nurk with them. Then Ace coming in for Laurie? Or do we put our best defense combinations out there to start? We will see different lineups and it will hopefully become obvious.

  5. I am sorry, but chaning mind, and saying you were incorrect previously is illegal, and you will be taken away by the thought poilce. your crime has been reported. good bye.

  6. I’ve been saying it since we traded Kessler. Just because we have JJJ at the 5 to start the game, doesn’t mean it has to stay that way all game. You can slide him to the 4 and bring on Nurkic, as the first sub

  7. Totally disagree. Sorry. We have seen Nurkic handle Wemby because of his size, nobody else on the team is that solid. He is also an elite rebounder. Ace will do well, and get near starter minutes as 6th man. Maybe in a few years this could be a good scenario. Not now.

  8. I do like this concept, it will get ace and peterson in the right, I don't think this will be the starting lineup except maybe day 1 because hardy doesn't really play rookies right away. but I do like it. I think the rotation will be kind of crazy depending on who we are plaing and lauri/jjj switchability but either way this will be amazing.

  9. Everybody on here who says ace don’t need to start just kno tht ace won’t be there for the long haul….. his potential and talent and ceiling is to high for him to come off the bench.. he will go SOMEWERE were he can start now nt in a couple years.. he earned tht spot or time to start… did we’re forget he was a top five pick last year..

  10. I know you say DP will start, and that he is too good to not start. I could see Hardy starting Ace over DP until, DP outplays ACE.
Either way we will find out! Re-watch the several games this year when JJJ joins the Jazz, the Jazz look unstoppable. When Triple J , Markkanen, and Nurk were on the floor together it was amazing. I think Nurkic will start, he is too good of a playmaker to not start. Thanks for your content!

  11. The Jazz should implement platooning rather than having a starting and bench lineup. There's a lot of positional overlap on this team that has us talking about "fit issues."

Key, DP, Lauri, JJJ, Ace, Nurk, Hayes, Svi, Okogie, and Zay. Those 10 guys should be put into their natural positions, but have the talent staggered to support each other's strengths instead of shoehorning each guy into a role based on "starters vs. Bench". Then guys like Flip, Konchar, Brice, and Cody get inserted into lineups based on utility.

  12. The Jackson Jr trade was a head scratcher for me considering what his contract is and what position he plays. We traded for him planning to keep Markkanen and Kessler it seems. So what was the plan for him if not playing 15-20 minutes a game at center? Now that Kessler is gone he has to be your starting 5.

  13. Winning is the goal, and they’re absolutely going to switch up starting lineups depending on matchups
Ace as the point‑of‑attack disruptor, blowing up the first action and forcing teams into late-clock offense.
DP next to him for two‑way stability and spacing.
Lauri as the switchable, mobile forward, using his length to erase passing lanes and contest everything. JJJ as the deterrent, shutting down drives and disrupting plays before they even develop. Nurk as the defensive quarterback, anchoring the paint, calling out rotations, and making sure everyone is in the right spot. Best defensive line up And key could fill in for anyone of those guys as the flame on scorer.

  14. If the joker refuses to sign a contract with the nuggs next year, what do y’all think of a package of Key, Lauri and 3 to 4 first and maybe some swaps to sweeten ii, in an attempt to circumvent it going to free agency?

If that happened, how do we think James, the biggest Jokic hater on Earth would handle it?

  15. Agreed. I think Ace should start. It should be just what you said. Keyonte, DP, Ace, JJJ, and Lauri should start, doesn't mean they play the most minutes together or even finish the game with that lineup. We will want to quickly sub Nurk in.
