8. Lol. The NBA taking two teams from the Pacific Northwest & moving them to Oklahoma city & Kansas City should signal to everyone that this is a failing business model that is entirely disconnected from what made it a successful business to begin with.
   They're able to chase money short term through these new owners making new stadiums, but ultimately between that and the TV deals they're chasing more of a dwindling pot.

   Sucks, but we will see more & more as Americans we really can't take these things too seriously.

13. They wouldn't even need to change the name either. Trailblazers actually makes more sense in KC than anywhere else since most of the trails to the west began in or around KC.

26. Personally I think if you look across the league and others you see a lot of newer “wild boy” owners who have and are seriously over leveraging themselves. Some illegally( the lakers/dodgers owner) and others just through aggressive building tactics/ acquisition( suns owner). What makes this sub prime mortgage “billionaire” any different. To me he looks highly leveraged and out of money. He CANT go anywhere. Call his bluff; when the deal is almost done be like actually 30 year lease. Let’s be historic. He can’t back out he’s just bluffing to save money and feel like he won even though his hand is full of empty cards…..

33. This is an example of all that is wrong with pro sports. If we had a real Congress they’d put laws in place to break the franchise monopoly system in pro sports leagues. But we don’t.
    It’s hard to believe it’s been over 2 decades since Seattle refused to be blackmailed and lost their team. Or more recently when San Diego refused to enrich the billionaire Chargers owners. How is this allowed to happen?.

34. If they were to relocate I would say Raleigh since the new owner owns the Hurricanes, but i think the Hornets would not be happy about that

35. The NBA should give Seattle a team back the Supersonic. The owner of the Thunder should give back the original history plus the only chip in Seattle.
