Most excited I've been for a Mavs szn in a while. This team can surprise a lot of ppl & it's gonna be 1 of the youngest teams in the NBA with an avg age of 24.6(last szn we were 8th oldest at 26.9). Great job reshaping the roster by the FO. With Coop going into his 2nd szn & Kyrie coming back, plus useful depth throughout the roster, I expect this team to be fighting for the 6 seed
I have them winning 40-42. Based on the fact that the Mavs played in the most clutch games. Ky returning. A healthy Gafford and PJ. Addition of Sasser, Aldama, and Risacher. An improved Cooper. Should more than make up for those games. And hopefully Lively can return healthy next year and STAY healthy. That's a big question mark. And that's why you DO NOT TRADE GAFF!!
Only teams that are better in West are spurs and okc. And I think mavs can compete with them next year

This is not a bad team, each one make the effort to make the difference of 1 more stop per quarter.
Watching some ZR10s comp vids, u can tell his athleticism is ELITE. Talented. I do t think Quinn wanted him,bc it wasn’t his pick, so he kinda stole his confidence with some trifling behavior. Didnt want to be proven wrong so sabotaged his time there imo. He’s All Star caliber to me. I think he n coop can make the ASG together. Ur NOT gonna out run him. He dusts ppl WITH the ball, he chases folks down. He Stripped Kawhi, then blocked Embid, then stripped and blocked Jalen and blocked Jokic plus a bunch of other stuff. Most ppl dont even do that once, he did all that PLUS. In 2 years. As a teenager. He’s ahead of Yaxel at same age, imo and c what Dusty did with him? JUCO to lottery. If our 3s improve, then we’re talking about late run, with healthy team. Rings. Tall. Long. Athletic. Skilled.
I don't remember the last time I was this excited and optomistic for a Mavs season. Our FO did some work this summer!
