REDEMPTION: Klay Thompson Explains Why He Chose Miami Heat | Intro Press Conference REACTION

Klay Thompson is officially a member of the Miami Heat, and Wes Goldberg is at the arena with David Ramil to break down everything from his introductory press conference. What did Klay say about choosing Miami, fitting alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo, and his expectations for this season?

Then, Erik Spoelstra’s comments might have been even more revealing. Wes and David discuss what Spo’s opening statement tells us about his excitement for this roster and why his message to “let this team shine” stood out. Plus, Spo was asked about the similarities between adding Klay Thompson and the Heat’s addition of Ray Allen more than a decade ago. His answer provided an interesting glimpse into how Miami plans to use Klay — and why Heat fans should be excited about what he can bring to a championship contender.

  11. 5:16 This is a legacy defining type of team. Top-down from Mickey and Coach Pat to Spo and Bam but All these family ties and career ties are telling an insane story if it all goes well.

This will place so many people’s name in conversations no one could’ve imagined. And the type of respect FINALLY given to each guy. Think of how many negative storylines has followed al or of these guys; let alone all the chatter of “Heat Culture” not being “real”? 🫠

  12. Klay's press conference revealed so much as to why Miami prioritized him over Damar. Sacrificed money, winning DNA, and willing to do anything o help this team win!

  13. Spo over rated. Yes i said it. They talking bout him not preferring not having to develop player's. He can't! Yo me all the great coaches develop player's into being the best in the world at some point Spo never accomplished that not even close. Pat, Phil and Po. Spo stop too many players with potential than inspire

  17. I wish we could've got another ball handler (shot creator/playmaker) to come off the bench and add some balance to the rotation, but I like the team we got. Also We got the best player and probably the best coach in the east. No guarantees on a chip, but this is about to be a hell of a window.

  18. Coach Spo is like a kid who was just given a bunch of new high valued toys to play with on his own terms. You can tell that he is so excited to be able to coach this talented Heat team. Hell, I am very excited to see him coach this team and even more excited for this season to start. Lets go HEAT!!!
